I'm writing my senior capstone this summer and my topic is gender bias within the criminal justice system.
I'm mainly focusing on how women are dehumanized, vilianized, all of that, especially when it comes to killing compared to men and how media portrays this as well. Im using Aileen Wuernos as a big example since she was "the hooker from hell"... and then I'm going to use Lorena Bobbitt as another example (even though she didn't kill, she was still dismissed as insane).
If anyone has other examples of women specifically who have committed a crime that men get written off as normalized, please let me know. I'm trying to use as many examples as I can to back up my paper. I have general examples but I want specific cases
