happy birthday, gilbert baker. (june 2, 1951 — march 31, 2017)
The Dykes Against Decency decks have finally arrived! I greatly appreciate everyone who bought a deck or shared with others—I wouldn’t have been able to complete this project without your support! I’ll be packing orders this weekend, so if you’d like to receive one by Christmas—order now!
In case you somehow haven’t seen one of my other posts, I’ll let the back of the box speak for itself:
“If you love Cards Against Humanity and you love your community, this deck delivers the jokes and references that only make sense when you’ve lived it. Inside are 108 new prompts and responses about lesbian and womyn’s land culture— our history, our clichés, and the things we lovingly roast each other for. Made by lesbians, for lesbians. It’s not here to be respectable. It’s Dykes Against Decency.”
💜 Price: $20–$40 sliding scale (plus shipping)
Message me for the order form!
the question isn't "when does life begin" the question is "when is someone entitled to a woman's body." and the answer is never.
I think women should stop posting our selfies online tbh. For one thing, people can now generate porn out of you with a push of a button. For another, it is free labor we are doing that inevitably will become wank material for a man. I think a women's strike needs to be taken to the digital world and this would be a great way to start.
I really wish all humans could start boycotting the digital life. Too many of us are too comfortable sharing photos, IDs, and phone numbers (that's connected to your identity!) with corporations. It's no wonder Gemini can generate such creepy lifelike imagery when people have been uploading their entire lives to Google Drive for 10+ years, and other services for even longer. Those who are privacy-conscious predicted this long ago, maybe not this exact scenario, but people were definitely aware of all this private data being used for nefarious purposes.
Unfortunately, tech is still mostly a male space. I almost never see women online discussing degoogling or FOSS alternatives. Attaining privacy in this world feels impossible, and maybe it is, but it's worth trying and it's worth supporting free software and rejecting as many corporate apps as you can.
Start with uninstalling Chrome, and never visit a website without uBlock origin on.
every male has the capacity to be a trans woman. there is no difference between you sleeping w a male proclaiming he’s a woman and sleeping with a male who’s fine with being a man. there is fundamentally no difference except one saying “i am this”. you’re not a lesbian. a “girlcock” is a penis. period. you’re not having sex with their essence or their mind or their identity. if you like penis, you’re not exclusively same sex attracted. you’re not a lesbian. and with pride month coming up, i don’t wanna see yall “WOO HOO LESBIANS!” talking about a male in a wig

I miss going to an art museum and seeing art so powerful that it feels like it single-handedly rearranges my entire molecular structure
i love you lesbians and bisexual women in my phone you make my days brighter happy pride
Someone in the community shared with me this resource about ITC (Intrafamilial child torture). The site has many articles on how to recognize ITC. It's organized, planned and strategic child torture that often ends in injuries or death. If some form of punishment was on your daily routine or you were deprived of food, sleep, bed, comfort, ability to move freely, and isolated from support, this resource could be meaningful to you.
I have to add the trigger warning for severe types of harm to children mentioned here, if that kind of thing makes you sick, don't click on it.
women who among us just posted an article about how concept sex offender registry being full of innocent men who just wanted to pee is fake. can't find it
thank you women
When I was a kid, on long trips to Maine, my mom would pull over whenever someone had to pee and let us out to go find a nearby tree to reli
"Also, I have scoured the internet and legal research databases and haven’t found a single case of anyone in America ever being forced to register for public urination."
i'm saving this article for whenever reddit freak males bring this fallacy up
anyway I love things like having independence, being intelligent, taking pride in my skills, not feigning incompetence, referring to myself as a woman instead of a girl, aging unapologetically, having pores, stretch marks, grey hairs, wrinkles and body fat, listening to my body's needs, eating as much as I need to satisfy my hunger, being bare-faced, wearing comfortable clothes, etcetera
Annette Bramley says Holly’s Law would stop perpetrators acquiring pets and raise awareness of domestic abuse link
"“I didn’t think he would stop at animals. I knew the connection between animal abuse and domestic abuse,” she said. “When the police came to the door, we knew nothing else could possibly have happened to her. We didn’t suspect a car accident or anything like that; we just said: ‘What has he done to her?’”
Holly, 26, was killed by Metson in March 2023 in what prosecutors described as a “twisted and barbaric” attack, cutting Holly’s body into more than 200 pieces, which were later discovered by a member of the public.
Bramley is now campaigning for Holly’s Law in her daughter’s memory, to stop prolific animal abusers from being able to acquire more pets, and to raise awareness of the link between animal and domestic abuse.
She wants to see an animal abuse register and a scheme to allow police to disclose information on animal abuse and neglect to prevent perpetrators acquiring more pets.
Studies have shown a strong link between pet abuse and domestic abuse, including perpetrators using animals as a coercive control strategy, while analysis by the UK’s national wildlife crime unit found a link to domestic violence and abuse for 27% of all wildlife crime offenders."
