Based on discourse I’ve seen around this site lately it seems antis are invested in making Coralaw appear a lot more “problematic” than it actually is. But while I genuinely believe you can write the ship with few to no problematic elements, I personally do enjoy it when there’s that bit of that extra flavor. Like Corazon being all guilty about finding a much younger man hot, or Law being just a little too obsessive, or them having some mutual codependency tied to their shared trauma.

I also love ships where one character thinks they're not right or even harmful for the other so they 'selflessly' try to pull away only to make things more complicated and confusing, not realizing that their relationship, while imperfect and unconventional, is actually a net positive for both of them. In short: no one'll ever convince me that Law and Cora wouldn't be genuinely happier people if they still had each other in their lives.
