This is a blog for me to post whatever fan-art I decide to make. I may switch fandoms a lot sorry about that! Currently I’m really into lackadaisy and splatoon. This is also a place for me to ramble about whatever comes to my mind.

Tumblr is by no means my main social media. I forget I have Tumblr quite often. The only other platform I’m super active on is tiktok: arowanasquids for fanart and arowana.squids for oc art. Also no my punctuation is not this bad when I actually think before I write.

I wish more people explored the fact that pearl likes to present both feminine and masculine but the fandom always just leans to just one kind of presentation for pearl. I feel like this happens to so many characters who have fluid gender presentation

Splatooon characters ranked by how much I think they swear. Least to most

Callie: only swears in her head or when she’s really really mad

Marina: she doesn’t get angry very often I feel like she’s too nice to swear most times

Frye: average amount of swearing. I know it sounds like she says fuck in one of her voice lines but she just doesn’t strike me as someone who swears a lot

Big man: says big words

Marie: heading into potty mouth territory. I feel like she swears more in casual conversation than when she’s mad though

Craig: never swears in public. He always teaches younger folks about how bad swearing is and looks at ppl with shame when they do swear. But the things he says when he’s by himself…

Shiver: idk why I just know she swears a lot

Pearl: only splatoon character to canonically swear, only splatoon character to have an implied swearing issue

OPINION ALERT

Adoptables are one of those things that are so close to being cool but just aren’t.

Like the concept of making, buying, and selling character designs is cool.

But then most adopts are just drawn over bases which completely removes one of the most important aspects of a character design. You don’t get any variety in body shapes, body types, shape language ect when you use bases.

Most of them are just one drawing as opposed to a full reference which means you just have to make up the parts of the design that aren’t shown which is like you’re buying a design you should get the whole design imo
