if you're still doing the asoiaf oc ask game: ⛓️💥🕯️🛡️ for jeyne!
she seems so cool <3
.✦ ݁˖ jeyne stokeworth asks ;
from this ask game !
⛓️💥 — if they studied at the citadel, what links would they forge? do they like learning?
jeyne does love to learn! she’d probably specialize in healing which would get her a silver link, but she could also very reasonably receive a copper link. jeyne wouldn’t mind learning about astrology but likely wouldn’t get a bronze link.
🕯️— are they religious? what faith do they follow and why? do they pray of habit or true belief?
no one is outdoing jeyne in this category i fear. same level as show!alicent with the faith of the seven but jeyne’s devotion is real as opposed to a reaction.
jeyne bases almost all of her beliefs on her faith and if she finds out someone she knows committed a sin in the eyes of the seven above she will outwardly worry for them. depending on their closeness she may bring it up but if they seem not to care as much as she does she will secretly be judging them forever.
🛡️— how aligned are they with their house and family in terms of temperament? do they share the same goals? alternatively, do they wish they had been born into another house?
answered here !
thank you so much for these asks and for a chance to talk about jeyne (like i don’t do that enough already) !!

THE KNIGHT OF YESTERYEAR;
DAY ONE: HISTORY
" ser aetrys targaryen was born of a union between prince baelor targaryen and lady lysa tully during the final years of the reign of king jaehaerys i. nephew to the following king viserys and cousin to his heir, rhaenyra, aetrys was born into a life of privilege that soon became marred by loss.
once predicted to become a knight of great renown, ser aetrys' failing health overcame him at the age of three-and-twenty, leaving many to discount his worth and ability. he forwent his spot in the lists and dedicated his following years not to the melees of the tourney yard but to dragonriding, making him one of queen rhaenyra's most experienced riders when the dance of dragons began in his early forties. a proud man made ruthless by the murder of his younger sister, naerys, at the hands of the hightower host, aetrys' loyalties seemed unshakable...unless one lent credence to longstanding rumors of aetrys' bond with ser gwayne hightower.
though he took to the skies frequently in the saddle of the she-dragon myrax and wielded his blade, evenfall, in the name of queen rhaenyra, rumors abound to this day as to the true colors of aetrys' heart. "
⋆˚⊹₊. DAY ONE: BACKGROUND | HISTORY: queen cersei lannister and her children, circa 287 A.C.
" cersei lannister found nothing but misery in her marriage. king robert was brutish, awkward, and cold; there was no happiness to be found within the marital bed. so when she welcomed her first set of living children, prince joffrey and princess cerenna, the young queen felt her spirits lift. joffrey was her pride, and cerenna was her joy— golden twins, just as she and her own brother jaime once were. even as more children came and the years went by, the queen never loved anyone like she loved her first little cubs. here is a portrait painted to commemorate the prince and princess' first ball. the royal twins are depicted here with their mother, all clad in her signature green. Delphine Fossoway, only daughter of Ser Eustace Fossoway and younger sister to Raymun Fossoway. Her childhood at Cider Hall was one of muddy knees, scraped palms, and grass stains. She grew up climbing the old apple trees, catching frogs in the Cockleswent, and sneaking into the kitchens whenever the cooks were preparing pies. She was a chatterbox from the moment she could speak, forever filling the halls with her observations, and she possessed a kindness that was inconveniently large for the world she had been born into. Delphine loved easily, forgave too readily, and felt every hurt as though it had been dealt directly to her own flesh.
After her passing, it was said that Ser Raymun chose the green apple for his new house sigil, for his beloved sister had always favored them—the tart little fruits she would pluck from the orchard with muddy hands and bite into without waiting for them to sweeten.
First time participating in ASOIAF OC week, but I only just found out about it today lol so had to whip up something quick for my AKOTSK girlie. Her fic is posted on both wattpad and AO3: memento mori
From “Growing Strong: A History of The Lords of House Tyrell.”
text for pages down below
Born the second moon in 258 AC at Highgarden. Fathered by Lord Lynus Tyrell and his second wife, Lady Xuxa Tyrell. Black of hair, brown of eye, dusk complexion with freckles, tall stature. Young Symond served as a cupbearer to his grandsire, Lord Ralf Tyrell, for two years between ages seven and eight. Not long after did Ser Vortimer Crane take Symond to squire. He was knighted by his master in 274 AC at the age ten and six. He succeeded his lord father late 276 AC.
Many say that Symond’s ascendancy near caused the ruin of House Tyrell with his excessive overspending, lack of diplomacy at court, and dismissal of duties. His patronages dubbed him “The Late Bloom” and “The Fool On The Hill” for his poor judgments and lack of political savvy. The final straw for the lords of the Reach was the increase tax targeted to their domains. A council was summoned to overthrow Symond’s lordship, he soon resigned and sent to guard his sister, Lady Nysa Tyrell, who fostered at Casterly Rock.
His legacy as Paramount of the Mander resulted in ruin but his reputation as a knight was unfounded. He joined Lord Mace Tyrell’s forces at the Battle of Ashford and held Storm’s End under siege during Robert’s Rebellion. He served Lord Peyton Hightower as a member of the Oldtown City Watch, soon rising to Lord Commander. He returned home to take oath under the City Watch of Highgarden, where he raised his only daughter, Zoe Flowers.
He promoted to Lady Margaery Tyrell’s guard in 299 AC, soon dismissed by The Hand, Lord Tywin Lannister due to irreconcilable differences.
Ser Symond Tyrell, when under residence at Highgarden, shared a passion for gardening and tended to Highgarden’s shrubs in his free time. In his youth, he was credited as an exceptional tourney knight and cared greatly for the base born. House Tyrell’s staff praises his gentle and thoughtful nature.

“ green is a primary color in many models of color space, and a secondary in all others. It is most often used to represent nature, healing, health, youth, or fertility, since it is such a dominant color in nature. ”
“ gold is often seen as enlightening and illuminating things around it. The color gold is flashy, rich and extravagant. It is the ultimate color to symbolize luxury. ”
Some histories are written in ink. Others survive only in whispers and dreams. Little is known of Lord Martyn Hollowmere and Princess Helaena Targaryen, and what little remains is scattered between court records, half-remembered accounts, and the quiet omissions of those who might once have known the truth. The Hollowmeres were never a house inclined toward notice, and Martyn himself would later become something of a ghost in the histories of the Dance— barely remembered, or more closely forgotten to time.
Yet there are stories of the two having known one another— of a peculiar fondness between the quiet heir of Soul's Rest and the princess who so often seemed to dwell somewhere beyond the waking world.
Whether there was truly more between them, or whether later generations embroidered romance into a handful of fleeting encounters, none can say. Some things are not meant to be remembered plainly.
BACKSTORY / HISTORY / PERSONAL SIGIL / HOUSE COLOUR
THE SECOND FALCON QUEEN.
As queen, Alya Arryn leaned heavily on the image of her maiden house, a physical symbol of her own lines meteoric rise to power. She’d often dress in Arryn blues, and donned a crown of silver, even suiting herself a new set of personal arms— the falcon-and-moon on sky blue, with the addition of a silver diadem on the head of the falcon. She had not been the first Arryn queen, though she strived to make herself the most beloved one.
༄.° the precious pearl. — Princess Alyssa velaryon was the younger twin sister to Prince Jacaerys Velaryon, and only daughter of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and her first husband Ser Laenor Velaryon.
The young Princess lived a life marked by grief and loss during the succession war known as the dance of the dragons. She was remarked as being forever mournful by those who had seen her and much like her brothers, Alyssa did not survive to see the war's end.
She was said to have been heartbroken over the death of her husband, Prince Aemond Targaryen, and as a result walked into the sea to her death.
“ one of the many children to garth greenhand, the high king of the first men, isabella was the founder to house fenech, the house of rabbits. for her sigil she had chosen a cottontail rabbit atop wreaths of white roses — her favourite animal and flower — which makes the northern house stand out from the others due to its soft appearance. her castle, riverfoot, currently still resides in the barrowlands along the kingsroad in the north, where her ancestors still live for many generations to come ”
House Lightwind has always been a house that prefers the sea and mist over the grassy fields and forests. Upon the house’s conception some thousand years ago, the color blue became an indicator of its people. It was no sky blue like the Arryns of the Vale. No, the first lord of House Lightwind picked a deep shade of blue that best resembled the waters of Ironman’s Bay.
It wasn’t until the time of Aegon’s Conquest when white also became a color linked to the house, although it is secondary to the deep oceanic blue that the Lords of Brightstone prefer.

tommen arryn may have lost the tourney at harrenhal, having been unseated by prince rhaegar targaryen in the second to last tilt, but he had won a prize far more valuable than any winner’s laurel. moriah wyl’s favor had adorned his wrist during the joust; a symbol of affection between two young lovers. whilst their union had not been arranged nor approved of by his elder brother, the lord of the vale did little to stop them from pursuing their hearts when the time came. they married in a small sept in the riverlands, before returning home to the vale to live happily ever after…

i’ll be doing one question for each of my girls !! thank you so much for the ask and for the nice message :,)
🛡️- how aligned are they with their house and family in terms of temperament? do they share the same goals? alternatively, do they wish they had been born into another house?
i think i’ve mentioned this before, but jeyne is the pr project of house stokeworth so she is very aligned with their house words, goals, and faith. there is very little in canon about house stokeworth so i like to believe that like their sigil the members are very gentle and soft-spoken, which jeyne fits perfectly. jeyne loves her family, and even with past controversies, she wouldn’t change her home for the world.
⚖️ - how are they remembered by history? are they loved, reviled, or something in between? is there anything the history books omit from their life?
i could see two options here for meris. one is that she is only seen as a victim in her marriage with aerion and two is that she is entirely blamed for everything that came after she married him. some people may even claim she was the one who caused his death. the thing is that neither are entirely true, but i will say that she had no part in killing him. they loved each other, but it was a weird, twisted kind of love. its rumored that she is the one who introduced aerion to the black arts but who knows?
⏳- if you had to place them in any other westeros, what would it be and why?
it might be because the HotD season finale just came out, but i’d put myrielle in the dance of the dragons era purely for the dynamic of her and oscar. myrielle doesn’t really care for dragons in the main timeline but if she got to see them she would think they’re interesting too.
🎶 what’s their song - the one that makes them both tear up / grin like idiots?
🕰️ if they could go back in time, what moment would they relive together?
for elaenys and boremund pls !!
My IT couple tysm for asking about them <3
What's their song - the one that makes them both tear up / grin like idiots?
Whatever song was playing at the feast in honor of Elaenys’s brother, I imagine it would sound something like this. And it would remind Elaenys and Boremund of the sheer amount of mischief that they caused at that feast when they were no more than children, of how they stole the spotlight from Amon and Jocelyn when the dancing began.
They would giggle at each other knowing that Elaenys is still that mischievous little girl and Boremund would do anything to make her laugh.
If they could go back in time, what moment would they relive together?
Certainly that feast during their childhood, it’s kind of what lit the spark between them. Picture it, they are both the elder sibling and they’re both really proud they don’t like to be put aside and now their parents are putting all of the attention on Aemon and Jocelyn, their younger siblings, both of them are obviously miffed. In Elaenys’s case it would be more accurate to say that she was furious because the whole celebration meant that she would be passed over for the throne in favor of her little brother, so what do they do?
Well, they sneak off, head for the kitchens completely unnoticed since their families are ignoring them and they just go for the sweets, the cakes that have been prepared for the feast, they decimate those and not happy Elaenys proposes to go for the cellars, they drink and run around the corridors chasing each other before returning to the feast because the little princess doesn’t want to hide away, she wants to dance and have fun. As they come back and the dances are about to begin Boremund thought it would make Elaenys laugh if someone spilled some drink on her brother so he “accidentally” does just that, staining the doublet of the new Prince of Dragonstone as Elaenys bursts out laughing.
Boremund would go back in time a hundred times just to hear Elaenys laugh that way again, and since then they have become basically inseparable.
