A little annoying that they cut out the version where Leia had some autonomy in the kiss. 

This is just so much hotter. It also reveals a slightly different side of them both and why they work together. Han approaching her all cocky and making the first move but then drawing back and looking kind of vulnerable and uncertain about her possibly rejecting him. And then the power shifts as Leia sees through his act and takes the reins and challenges him. She is no longer passive in the seduction. You can see it in the way she’s almost smirking that, yeah, she does like this kind of scummy/adventurous side of things and is owning up to it. Like “fine. you called my bluff. i’m not as good as i look. what are you going to do about it?”. 

Both of their carefully constructed masks slip for a second. Han isn’t as much of a scumbag as he likes to think and shows some vulnerability. And Leia isn’t this perfect upstanding princess. They meet somewhat in the middle.
