What if the symbols on our shoes come together to form the sigil of light. What then.
What if we both look at each other like we're seeing the light. What then.

Yippe wha fan comic made with traditional dip pens (not a huge deal but it’s a first for me)
wanted to draw a continuation of librarian agott and brimhat coco AU where they meet again a few years later:
Thinking of the qifrey level of obsession agott has over brimcaps after the incident (that also being part of the reason why qifrey took her in as his student) and coco who's always watching from afar until agott finally caught up to her...
thinking of agott who goes alone bcs she knows coco won't hurt her, and when their caps falls off their head and they're back to being just two girls in the tower, not witches or brimcaps,,,
One of my favourite aspects of Agott's character is that she isn't a genius or a prodigy, actually. A lot of the time, a character like her would be naturally gifted, but we can see from the kinds of awful comments the people around her made that Agott was not "gifted" when compared with her mother or others in her family. And this means that every astute observation she makes, every light bulb that goes off in her head, every perfect sign and ring she draws is a result of the actual effort she put into her studies. Agott genuinely deserves the acclaim she gets from her peers because she works hard to be that good.
It's tragic that she feels the need to do so at all, but still, she's not the typical "snooty high-class girl who's so good at everything and berates the new girl for being beneath her", this is a girl who genuinely had to work her ass off to get to where she is seeing this new girl who got everything she worked so hard for with seemingly no effort. And it's really notable that even though Agott sets Coco up to fail and is unfairly harsh on her at the beginning, she never tries to outright sabotage her. She expects Coco to fail, but since Coco continues to pass based on her own merit, well, that's not something Agott can really argue against.
Agott being written like this makes Coco's admiration of her make a lot more sense, as Coco also constantly feels the need to prove herself out of guilt, and Agott is not just skilled, she puts 110% effort into everything to do with magic. It all builds nicely to her eventual apology. They're both really similar in that sense, and Agott reminding Coco to make magic for herself makes her dive back into the magic that she herself loved as well, independent from the notion of redemption and the imposition of expectations.
This is true of the manga, but I love how the anime accentuates the absolute physical trust the apprentices have with Qifrey. Specifically with Agott, the way she is so ready when Qifrey says “hang on tight, I need my hands free” to cling to him a mile into the sky, and then in the latest episode, how, as soon as she impacts Qifrey while flying to him, she makes no move to save herself, she just curls into him and trusts that he will keep them from falling.
And I think it works as a signal to the audience, to subtly go “hey, I know we don’t trust Qifrey right now, he’s being shady, but we can always trust him to protect the physical wellbeing of his kids. Remember that.” Idk man maybe I’m getting too attached to a teeny detail but aaaaaaghhhh that’s her dad.
The anime is wonderful.. I am so inspired! i needed to finish this right away!!

mind you, ryland grace found his literal soulmate after being betrayed and sent off to die in space 11.9 light years away from civilization. maybe bad things happen for a reason idk
I kinda have no reasoning for this one.
I imagine rocky puts grace's amnesia problems down as a "probably normal for humans, they forget stuff all the time" thing for a while and it doesn't set in until maybe a year into the erid trip that, no, losing straight up All of your memories for several months is just about as concerning and unusual for a human as it would be for an eridian. and his immediate reaction is twofold: 1. "you. you were that brain-unhealthy for the entire time we were working together and you just. barely ever mentioned it? Why. Question." 2. [sudden recollection of every time he got short of temper and said something bitchy like "lazy human not know how own ship function" or "how grace forget location of basic controls question"] [curls up on the floor in embarrassment] "should have said something so I not spend two months making fun of brain injuryyy"
Grace, you can't say that!

This has been my main argument against "AI" from the very beginning.
OpenAI scraped the entire web. All of which had been a labor of love from humans. Wikipedia is the backbone of a lot of LLMs, and that was volunteer human labor. They stole it and now they're selling it back to us.
And worse, they're trying to destroy the free sources that they stole from. It's destruction of human knowledge on an unprecedented scale. The burning of the library of Alexandria has nothing on this.
