I've decided her name is Constance bc Constance "Connie" Conagher just tickles something in me. Maybe it's all the comic books i read growing up anyway CONNIE. Left when engie was pretty young bc of [gestures at everything going on with that family line] but couldn't get custody of dell so Hes Very Normal About His Mother And Father And How He Sees Them Okay. There's Absolutely No Bizarre Hero Worship Or Feelings Of Neglect Anywhere Here Alright. He's A Normal And Well Adjusted Man. The guitar he plays all the time was hers btw.

On the subject of things wrong with Engie after watching multiple videos on nuclear science I've finally figured out exactly what's wrong with him and it's that he's the same type of scientist as the men who first built the atomic bomb. Aka "this Will have horrible lasting consequences on the world and Could kill everyone and I'm going to do it anyway because my curiosity overpowers all sense of logic or morals." The type of man who cuts off his own arm for the sake of an experiment. You see what i mean. I do get the sense that he seemed to have experienced some kind of ego death before the events of the comics because he's Far more subdued and anxious than in the sfms or in game......... Almost Like. He realised exactly what his place in mannco was. Coughs.

As for his relationship with miss pauling well. I'll let elektra and orestes explain it:

He's so fascinating because I 100% agree that Engie is a dictionary definition nepotism baby who only got his position because of his family and he definitely has Some level of authority above the more menial employees but it also feels like a misread to say he has any particular point of power over his employers. I feel like if he did, he'd just walk out when it was revealed Blutarch desecrated his grandfather's remains but instead he let's it slide and the most resistance he gives is "get your hands off me" when Blutarch grabs him. I think at most Engie has a bit more power than say Pauling because he obviously maintains the life extension machines, but like. Im sure you can Train someone to do that were Engie to step too far out of line and have to be "taken care of" as TF in general seems perfectly fine with doing to literally anyone ever

I like to think Demo is mad about Sniper eating habits and the fact he doesn't treat his insides right (as Demo has such control of his that he can bu himself make alcohol to his body and he's clearly more built than our "wobbly" Sniper
