I'd be lying if I said I fully understood the Fnaf World is Crying Child's brain/some kind of purgatory dream theory thing at the moment, but I like it because if any kid deserves to just play adventures with Freddy and Friends, it's Crying Child/Dave/Evan/what's his agreed name again? Afton.
Joe and Stomp Farmer are that couple that haven’t gotten married but have been together for long enough that people just. Know. They’re the sweet couple down the street who are always there when you need advice.
They don’t marry bc Joe will forever feel terrible over not having his dad there (despite the fact he knows senior would never approve of his relationship or partner) and Stomp doesn’t fully grasp the concept of marriage in terms of ‘proving how much you love someone’ (“isn’t our love enough for the world?”
I love giving random backstories to characters. Anyway I’m gonna go over my idea of Stomp Farmer being an ex-cosmic dancer
Going over some basic lore I have for the cosmic dancers first so this makes sense (Note, I’m gonna refer to Stomp Farmer as ‘Stompy’ because it’s easier to write out lol)
• Cosmic Dancers come in secondary colors. Many are purple, and very few are green (like Stompy) however, only cosmic sisters come in orange.
-Note- Space dancers are similar, usually coming in primary colors. Blue is dominant, red is recessive, and yellow is typically only seen in the Space grandpas.
•’Cosmic sister’ is more of a title that’s passed down. it’s the opposite of a Gerudo situation where a ‘female’ (they don’t really have genders but for the sake of simplicity I’m going to use gendered terms) cosmic dancer is born every other century— give or take a few decades.
•The Cosmic Sister usually switches between what troupes she helps lead, mainly to guide others through the dance itself
•Many troupes try to visually distinct their groups from each other, whether it’s by their clothes or how they stand (it’s an easy way to identify each other if they get lost somewhere lol). The Cosmic sister will sometimes join in on some of their clothing choices to show which group she’s essentially tutoring
NOW we’re on the main backstory
•Stompy is one of few dancers born green, and feels incredibly displaced among his fellow dancers. Most green cosmic dancers are turned away by troupes for the sake of symmetry (doesn’t help that the cosmos are a bright pink while he’s a bit of a more desaturated green)
•It also doesn’t help that he’s not very graceful, having very ‘rigid’ and ‘heavy-handed’ moves when dancing, accidentally hitting his fellow members every now and then
•The Cosmic Sister at the time (we’ll call her Ginger for simplicity, she’s retired now) also was crumbling under the pressure of constantly making sure troupes were all good, making her fuse for mistakes extremely short
•Ginger and Stompy were both two ends of a spectrum (‘too many eyes on you for one reason or another’) which caused Ginger to slightly resent being both in the troupe and being the Cosmic Sister in general, as Stompy constantly throwing the group ‘off-balance’ and making her feel like her reputation was going to drop (in reality she was stressing over perfection)
•Despite this rocky relationship with the Sister, Stompy is actually very close to his former troupe group! It helps that the troupe is only with the Sister for maybe a month or two before she has to go to another group
•Then, one day the group ends up going to space — mainly to talk with the Space dancers and maybe have a good rally—and make a detour to Earth. And for the first time ever, Stompy feels apart of his environment
•The smell, the colors, the feeling of dirt being beneath his feet, everything Earth has is something that—to him at least—feels real to him. He spent most of the time outside while everyone else is getting their coats cleaned and/or practicing their rallies for later
•It takes multiple excuses of detouring to Earth and learning more about how people live for Stompy to actually consider living there. He takes a particular interest in agriculture and farming, making up his own rhythms as he goes.
•Over many, many talks with them, he says his farewells to his troupe and ends up making something of himself, refining his techniques and settling into his now current lifestyle. The troupe still visit him from time to time to catch up and sit on the farm!
Nowadays, Stomp Farmer sells his vegetables and fruits in a farmers market, and his life is relatively quiet. then boom he falls for Joe and that’s a whole mess in itself.
nastiest trick in the book is getting you genuinely deeply attached to a character whose name sounds fucking stupid in any other context. this WILL happen to you at some point in your life.
karatestomp has been invading my mind lately, did a little redraw from 2023 (old is the non-colored doodle) and I think I’ve improved over the years :3 might post more stuff later on while on the Rhythm Heaven high lol
