Twin Stars Week Day 3: Light š”
Izuku woke up to total darkness. He couldnāt even see anything because it was just pitch black. He was not sure if he was dreaming or he was already dead. The last thing he remembers was they were fighting a villain when suddenly he was knocked out to the ground.
He doesnāt feel any pain in his body though. Okay, donāt panic and stay calm. He kept repeating those words almost an eternity later when he still couldnāt see a thing. Where was he? Is this a dream?
Izuku stood up and tried to walk a couple of steps carefully. He wished there was some source of light. Like a flashlight or something so he could know where the hell he was. He was starting to feel annoyed.
Judging by the texture of his clothes he was wearing his hero costume. The last thing he remembers is he was fighting a villain with Katsuki. They were doing great and the enemy was already losing because Bakugou is on a rampage when Izuku tried to help the civilians out of the building.
Next thing he knew is there was a heavy object thrown at him and Izuku lost consciousness. Perhaps it was his mistake for turning his back on a still ongoing fight, all his defenses lowered because he was preoccupied with other stuff. Katsuki might be going berserk right now.
Izukuās eyes widened. Bakugou will be so angry by the time he wakes up assuming that he wasnāt dead and this place isnāt the afterlife. He could almost hear the screams of his partner for being so reckless. It was reckless, Izuku agreed.
Itās just that he was so confident that Katsuki could handle it and he got distracted by the people that he didnāt think rationally of the situation. Speaking of Katsuki, his childhood friend had come a long way. Their relationship also took a turn for the better.
Three years had passed since they graduated U.A and became the heroes that they were now. Izuku dreamed of the day where he could be what All Might once was. But he also dreamed of Bakugouās friendship. Hoping one day they could finally be standing on the same ground and see each other eye to eye.
Now that they were also paired together, everything fell into place. Bakugou is still kinda mean, yells insistently and likes to keep to himself but he also mellowed out perhaps just a tad bit. It was good enough for Izuku.
Izuku didnāt know how it happened but maybe all they needed was time. What he does know is that he is contented with what they have now. There might be a lot of bad blood in their teenage years but all is good in the present.
He kept on walking towards an endless path when suddenly he saw a flash of light by the end. Figuring that maybe it was another way for him to escape he quickly dashed towards the direction.
The moment he neared the area the darkness was gone. When he opened his eyes, he was greeted by the sight of twin crimson orbs staring back at him. Izuku was on a bed and something was attached to his hand, like a needle.
āYou goddamn fuckerā Katsuki growled.
Izuku isnāt sure even a week after if maybe it was the meds or he was simply hallucinating. All he knows is that in that moment, Katsuki was glowing. Relief flooded his system and only one thought came into his mind.
āWhen did you became my light?ā.
