Haven’t posted in a while. Here is my process for drawing simple B&W inked art cards that I sell at the various Cons I attend. For this sample, I chose Meta Knight from Kirby/Smash Bros. because his design is so cool, yet mysterious! 1. Sketch. Fairly loose, getting the feel of the character. 2. Outlines. Just inking the outlines. Not worried about shading yet. 3. Erasing. Erase pencil markings. Pretty straight forward. 4.Inking/shading. Determine a light source and ink drawing using areas of solid black and some cross hatching. And that’s it! Neat, huh?
