First Home Football game last night and it was epic! On the field before game, assisted in holding giant american flag, saw every touchdown the first half and the energy up there at the rock was great! #goapp #togetherwerise #appsalutesyou #appstate #mountaineer #gameday #firstgame #awesome
It is 38 to 0! We are crushing these camels! Its not even half time #appstate #togetherwerise
Survived my first week of fall classes! I'm currently taking 5 classes, working at UREC, doing an Intern with Athletics Marketing, Treasurer for TAGA, Treasurer for AIGA, and President for ACF. I'm hoping I'm not getting in-over-my-head but I love all the excitement on campus and with the staff. It's looking like a great time to be at app state and it feels good to have friends in class again (or people I know at least). #appstate #awesome #1stweek #fallisnotspring #almost9months now #togetherwerise
New opportunities arise weekly at appstate. So proud to be here! #appstate #boonenc #design #joboptions #fun
#Springcleaning my place is looking more and more like a home. Back in Boone for the summer

I made the mistake of going Snowboarding on my own back in January. When the family came up for the weekend, the weekend before midterms, we decided to give skiing a shot. We went to AppSkiMtn and it was awesome! I caught on pretty quickly Friday night and by Saturday night I was going down the biggest hills there. I didn't go down the advance tracks but wow what a rush! The biggest problem is stopping. I have yet to master that but know how to slow myself down at least. There was a slope called Orchard Run that I never did fall down on (not even when I got to the bottom)! My step-dad was snowboarding down and me and my step-brother learned how to ski and pretend we were pros. I had a blast and can't wait to go again. I saw a lot of people get hurt and why that should discourage me, it didn't. I have no idea why but I felt safe going down. I would squat down and roll a bit when I couldn't "stop" so that was my way of "controlling" my speed at the end of the slope. Skiing really isn't that hard though and will always be up for going if anyone comes to visit. App students get pretty good discounts on rental gear and the lift tickets. I bought a helmet and goggles but only because I can't stand wearing other people's stuff on my head. I only rent the ski/boots and the bibs.

I like to dance and think it's time I go out of the bounds of Just Dance from the Wii games and also from the random zumba at different gyms. I've had a friend introduce me to swing dance and although I'm a slow learner (at least when it comes to dancing) I'm really enjoying the time I've had at the beginners classes. The good news is it'll get easier and that I'll be able to learn Ballroom dancing easier once I learn Swing dance and get the hang of it. Dancing is so much fun and there is nothing like it. Working out at the gym is somewhat similar but dancing is just unique. The rhythm will not leave you once you start. It's great to just fool around and meet a lot of people. Thank you Hannah for introducing me to this dance club on campus.
At Legends in Boone/AppState on Tuesdays at 8:30pm there is a Christian Campus Fellowship group that has a church service and worship. It's basically everything I would want on Sunday but on Tuesday night. Which I'm a night owl anyway or a evening person anyway. I don't have my energy til after noon usually. So this is perfect for me. I'm slowly making friends in this group but they are doing a lot. A group is on a Missions Trip in Atlanta during Spring Break. They also have small-group sessions that meet weekly too. I like hanging out with them and hope to be more involved soon. I'm running my sentences together and I'm sorry but I don't know how to contain my excitement about this club though!
If you are interested in seeing loving Christians then I advise you visit sometime. The sermons/speeches aren't boring and are lessons you can directly apply to your life. Their band is great too and is different each week. I love it! Shout-out to CCF at Appstate!
