One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating.

Just deleted half of my ibisPaint gallery and i have never felt this relieved. Finally getting rid of something i was never good at in the first place. Im returning to my fandoms, probably posting some drafts that were not hideous and actually looked like what they were supposed to look like, and thats gonna be it no new art. I hate drawing i hate my art i hate that i thought i was a good artist i hate my stupid fucking art gallery i hate it all i want it gone
Am I overreacting for stopping eating after someone at my table tried to tell me how to eat my burger?
I (30f) Went out for dinner to a casual sit down place with my mom (60f) and her longterm boyfriend “Eric” (56m). I took one bite of my burger then set it down and was gently brushing the crumbs off my hands over my plate when Eric looked at me and said “use your napkin”. I froze, used my napkin and stopped eating and plan on eating at home. I am 30 years old, there were no condiments on my hands from the burger, I don’t appreciate being told how to eat. The restaurant is not busy, and tables are spaced decently apart so it’s not like we are close to other people. And if it is a manners thing he is currently scraping put the tiny dish that is coleslaw came in. However I know I can get hangry, so am I overreacting?
Reddit consensus: OVERREACTING (YOR) (75% confidence)
Top comment: “YOR. He made a stupid comment. To let someone else stop you from eating is ridiculous. That’s a childish response. You’re all adult. Use your words.”
Notable explanation: “YOR. Next time, as a 30-year-old, speak up for yourself and tell Mr. Manners-wannabe that you know how to eat and he can keep his comments to himself. But don't give him the power to ruin your meal.”

I admire people who can stop on the middle of the stairs and rest. I can't rest, for I'm too busy trying to remember whether I was on my way up or down to do something, or having finished whatever it was I was doing. My Stunt Double will never understand the angst that creates!
Stop stopping yourself.
