There two different versions of the Black and White music video the scene of Michael Jackson destroying a car.

The original version the cars was covered with slurs and Nazis symbols. Then they release a censored version which covered up the slurs.

I love the Black or White short film and hate how they censored Michael destroying a car with those slurs on it. Otherwise the censored version makes it look like plain vandalism but his anger is justified.

obviously none of us will ever know the truth but the whole discourse surrounding the question of “was he lying about losing his virginity at 35?” really bothers me. a lot of people automatically think ‘look at him onstage, the way he dances and sings, look at how he talks about women, how obsessed he was with women, there’s no way he was a virgin for that long’ but that’s really not how sexuality works.

michael was exposed to sex at a really young age. (5 i believe? when j5 started performing in strip clubs) and he would be trying to sleep while his brothers would be fucking groupies literally right next to him. i went through a similar experience of being exposed to sex too early, and it traumatised me so much that i’m still a virgin in my late twenties. but the key point is that i’m hypersexual. terrified of intimacy while being obsessed with the idea of it at the same time. and i’m fine with kissing and doing everything else outside of sex itself. it’s often assumed that not wanting to engage in sex means you’re asexual, which is absolutely not the case, and i think when ppl have this discussion about michael, they only discuss him in a binary of he either has sex or he’s asexual. there’s a third option too lol

i could be wrong, but that’s what michael seems like to me. i’m not claiming he’s obsessed with sex in the way i am ofc, and we’ll never know, but he owned pornography and was obsessed with women, and was comfortable dancing sexually onstage, so it could be possible. it also doesn’t help that his mother drilled it into him to wait until marriage, so even when he left the jehovahs witnesses, that’s not something you just drop instantly. religious guilt is a real thing that you carry with you throughout your life.

and i think the religious aspect is something people focus too much on actually when they discuss his virginity, because i do think the more important point to make is on the trauma he faced as a child. many ppl think sexual trauma is just sexual assault/rape, but it isn’t. honestly if i hadn’t experienced this myself i would probably agree that “no way could he have been a virgin in his 30s” but i believe it because i know that this sort of situation is very nuanced.

hi, i completely agree with your take, and i am sorry you went through that. I experienced something similar to what michael did too. like you said, none of us know for sure if he actually lost his virginity in his 30s (i just take LMP’s word with grains of salt). people chalk his privacy about his love life, his exposure to adult things as a child, and being more reserved off stage up to him either being asexual or secretly promiscuous as an adult, and I don’t agree with that at all. we are all multifaceted beings and so was michael, and it’s never that simple with anyone. he had every right to not want to discuss the contents of his sex life and dating because that’s his business. and i’m glad he didn’t. I definitely think some fans can do too much whenever michael interacted with women because of all the speculation about his sex life/sexuality.

Agreed! He was old fashion and a gentleman that didn't casually discuss private affairs of intimacy because to him that's sacred. I think that's really sweet and mindful to not kiss and tell.
