hi everyone sorry i still exist!! work has still been crazy and and then got busy w some irl things + life etc. anyway boss has decided that we will no longer be hiring a new person to take on some of our workload and also told us the project is a failure bc we're not meeting project targets. despite the fact project targets are entirely ungrounded in feasibility and we're exceeding the rates of the previous project and also we're so understaffed that coworker and i have not had a week without overtime in 3.5 months. but i'm 'not doing enough' for a promotion. so anyway i think i'm going to stop working so much voluntary overtime <3

#rip my big fat OT paychecks but aughhh i want my free time back.#and to not come home and immediately fall asleep #also i'm still like. idk overwhelmed on tumblr and discord in a way i wasn't pre-heated rivalry.#i don't know why and if it's just following more people or the bigger fandom or the social politics that come with the bigger fandom #(ie bnfs and ingroup memes and my weird gross feelings of not fitting in) but i don't know what to do about it #bc i want all the hr content and i want to be a PART of hr fandom but i also miss just being comfortably settled in w merlin #particularly merlin micros which is so wonderful and comfy and fun.#idk!!!! i also took a break from writing and managed to get most of my marinler zine fic out which is nice bc it's so much lower pressure #than hr which like. i always feel like my First fic for a fandom has to be a magnum opus. ESPECIALLY bc there is so many insane insane tale #in the fandom. which merlin has too but it's slower!!! if tht makes sense! it feels like my contribution means more or doesn't have to #compete?? and i think the pressure really gets me stuck. and the fatigue makes writing impossible. idkkkk #but we got one new person at work so as we transition things off to her i'm hoping to really focus on more downtime/filling my cup #and remembering that i love my job actually!!#also going to see a psych to try for some depression meds and i'm trying to move into an apartment with more sunlight.#everything's going to be okay!!!!#my birthday was wonderful and i love love love my friends and i think 29 is going to be the year of intentionally improving my surroundings #and trying not to turn my hobbies into obligations #ok yay yippee i love you all bye!!!#if you are in line for a reply to me i'm coming!!!#also i say all this but i do have like 3 days of weekend OT coming up in the next few weeks. so. :|#i wasnt built for this let me outttt #figposts
