At times when he was all alone and thinking to himself, he'd be extremely curious as to who was sending all this crap to him

He wouldn't try prying though. He'd be afraid that it'd scare them off or he'd be invading their privacy. Besides, if they really wanted to be secret and anonymous, what's his business in it?

Sooner or later though, he'd start observing everyone VERY closely. Seeing how everyone interacts with him, if they ever stare, if they're always close to him. Literally anything just to get some idea on who this person was

He'd be a bit desperate. He knew even if he somehow did find out, he wouldn't go up to them and tell them he knows. He isn't looking for a relationship and he also isn't trying to stop any of this or make it awkward

So if he did find out it was you, he'd stay completely silent. He wouldn't dare ever even think of trying to tell you. Not only would he be awkward, he'd just sound stupid and make a fool out of himself.

He usually wouldn't expect that of himself but when he began feeling his cheeks heat up around you and would start stuttering at any moment around you, he'd know he just could never bring it up

He'd be a bit softer on you in particular but wouldn't admit it if anyone pointed it out. He'd actually probably get frustrated with himself for really playing favorites over a couple of cards and gifts. He wasn't seriously getting feelings for some soldier sneaking around right?

But low and behold, he definitely was. Literally any interaction with you included a flustered Levi trying to hold his composure which only confused you more

He wished he could thank you. He wished he could give you something back. He wished he could be so confident to leave stuff like that. Even if it was a bit cowardly to be anonymous during it all, he couldn't blame you

For him, having crushes sucked. Mostly because he has no experience with relationships and he never would expect himself in this sorta situation

So until you or him confesses, it will probably stay like that. He'd appreciate it all a lot though. He'd openly use anything you'd give him to make sure you knew they weren't being discarded or something and would save every note you wrote him. It would be something he cherished for a long while.
