I’ve had the sketch for this sitting there for months so I finally got around to finishing it. I initially wanted to make the tail white but I’m okay with this outcome. I may come back to it tho.

Also, this was made because of the challenge way back where you turn your OC into a mermaid.... yeah. I’m THAT late on this, lmao.

Side note...

- I was going to give him a bit more “blubber” seeing as how he resides more in the deep sea and some gills but his origin is being a ghoul. My concept on ghouls is that they’re dead and if they wanted to, they could eat regular food and breathe but it’s not necessary to hide when you lurk the spoopy ocean.

Ever since I saw a Tik Tok about this angel named Ark (I think), I've been inspired to design my own angel oc. I admire how many videos they're able to put out and their adorable fans so I'm hopping to one day know how it feels. Just gotta put in the work for it.

Get to know Ajax a bit: Ajax is the younger sibling of two. His eldest brother was born from the light of a full moon while Ajax was born from the light and darkness of a half moon. Because of this, parts of his body are dark or black. His brother was looked up to and adored more because he was a pure white while Ajax was deemed unruly and not pure. Tired of being ridiculed, he left the heavens and found himself wrapped up in learning about Father's most precious subjects. Although they fear him, his calm voice and warm light seemed to assure them-- over time-- that he was just a gentle giant with an even bigger curiosity. Originally, Ajax only had one pair of eyes... but during his first year on Earth, jealousy had engulfed his mind and led him to go back to the heavens to fight his brother. Needless to say, the white part atop his head doesn't belong to him...

I just can’t seem to let myself draw a normal Hawks. kjservbisej well, tragic. This was a fun concept to use! I was gonna do a specific style from a specific Greek story (like Icarus). But I was already so deep in design and in love with it that I just went ahead with my own thing.

I struggled with his face and had to adjust it so much but now I know what I need to do in the future to avoid having the mouth so far away between the nose and chin. I’ve never hated his stupid bird face so much.

Human version of Ulquiorra!

I’m working on a story for him based on before he died and became a hollow. It’s where he’s studying abroad in Japan-- coming from Dubai-- and lives with a massive oaf who loves to bother the absolute hell out of him (sound familiar? heh). But ah... I couldn’t start working on the story until I drew him :’)

However, I’ve also discovered my favorite thing is adding the little highlights under his eyes and on his hand. Bwaaaa~ I understand why highlight is the exciting part for makeup, lmao.
