Hakon x Aiden idea- mabye something with "Aiden is angry at Hakon" but Hakon just trying to get a kiss from him? And fluff...
I hope this is good enough! I kinda missed the whole "trying to get a kiss" part, whoops.
I'm really enjoying writing again, so please send more ideas if you have any!
This was unbelievable. Stomping across the rooftops was not exactly therapeutic, but what else could you do in these times.
Aiden had gotten enough. He shouldn’t even be mad right now, but his emotions took over his mind, clouding it in anger and despair.
A part of him knew, that this was how it should be, had been and would always be, and that he should just calm down and forget it, but he just couldn’t. He was hurt, with no reasonable explanation, except that he got a huge crush and it sure was crushing him.
It hadn’t even been minutes since he’d seen him, how did that man always disappear without a trace? Aiden poked his head in through every door and stall in the Bazaar, but Hakon was gone with the wind. He didn’t want to call out for him, he knew the older man would hate the attention that would go along with it.
Wandering out on the street, he dodged a few infected here and there, but wasn’t able to see the other man.
Aiden quickly scaled a wall to try and get a better advantage point. Not seeing a trace of the man anywhere, he was about to give up before he spotted it. A familiar boot was taunting him, sticking out behind a wall, meaning that Hakon had to be leaning against it. Poking his head around the corner, he was met with a sight he truly wished he hadn’t seen.
Hakon’s hand trailed down along the woman’s back, searching for somewhere to hold as the kiss deepened. Her hand was entangled in his dark hair, gripping it, keeping his head close. Small noises of pleasure seemed to escape both of them, leaving Aiden incredibly uncomfortable.
Backing away quietly, his fist clenched. He silently dropped down on the street, squashing a biter on the way down before running along the street, searching for the furthest and best rooftop to be bitter and alone on.
He was stupid. He knew that. What kind of right did he think he had? Hakon was allowed to kiss whoever he wished, Aiden didn’t have a say in that. Hell, the man doesn’t even know how stupidly in love Aiden was. Kicking a leftover brick over the edge didn’t exactly help his feelings, but sure as hell did make his foot hurt.
“Fuck!” He hissed at the stupid brick, before running a hand through his hair, drenched with sweat. He began pacing around in a circle, spitting out a string of swears, before he plopped down on the ground. Screw him anyways. He was a hit with the ladies for good reasons. He was a beautiful man, charming and hilarious. Of course they’d want to fill their stupid mouths with his. He huffed, throwing a stone, as if it were to help. Stupid, dumb, idiotic man.
“You look so sad and lonely up here, kiddo.” A familiar, teasing voice echoed across the roof, as footsteps neared the lonely boy. “What are you doing all the way out here anyways? I thought you went to trade at the bazaar?” Hakon craned his neck down to look at the boy, who refused to even spare him a glance.
“Aiden?” He frowned at the silence, before crouching down beside him. “Hey Aiden?” He lightly pushed the man, as if testing if he was still alive. A swift hand slapped his arm away, making the message clear.
“What the-” Hakon raised an eyebrow at the action. Aiden wasn’t one to be silent, especially to him. “Kiddo, what the hell happened at the Bazaar? Who twisted your balls?” He tried lightening the mood, only to receive the most furious stare he’d ever gotten since his 3rd ex-wife.
“Shut up. Fuck you.” Aiden snapped, before looking back down at the ground, his eyes riddled with newly found anger.
“Mon dieu, sorry.” His voice dripped with sarcasm as he sat down besides the younger man. “Seriously, what happened? Did someone rip you off?” He only got an angry huff in response.
“What are you, a teenager?” Hakon sighed, gripping Aiden’s chin with his hand, forcing him to look at him, though Aiden struggled against it. “What’s the matter, kiddo? Tell me.”
The younger man sucked in a breath before slowly elevating his gaze to meet his brown eyes, filled with worry. He hadn’t realized he’d worried the other man this much, and over nothing too.
“You.” Aiden looked away again, his eyes shifting from observing the sky to a very fascinating rock on the ground.
“Me? Was I the matter? What did I do? I was hardly there with you!” Hakon’s eyebrows furrowed with confusion.
“´Mmh.” Aiden nodded, brows furrowed with annoyance, still observing the rock.
“Hey, look at me!” Hakon gently shook his jaw, bringing the younger man’s attention back to him with an unreadable look written on his face. “What did I do?”
Sucking in another breath, Aiden prepared himself for the worst.
“You wandered off and..” His words trailed into a whisper, before becoming completely incomprehensible. His anger had trailed into something akin of sadness or
“I wandered off? I told you that, did I not?” Hakon cocked his head to the side, sure that he did mention it.
“No. And it’s not that..” Aiden groaned, mentally punishing himself for even doing this in the first place.
“Then why are you bringing it up?” The older man had only gotten more confused, as the conversation went on.
“God damnit.” Aiden swore before finally meeting the eyes that had been staring at him for so long. “I was fucking jealous, Hakon.”
“Her, Hakon! God damn it, how are you so blind? I’ve tried my fucking best to get your attention for weeks, months! Ever since I met you, I have done all I could to try and impress you. I live for the moments you praise me or run along with me, but god damn it, I’ve never even been close to kissing you. I try my best to get that attention, get that feeling, that look. And one woman can come strolling by, talk to you for three minutes and get it! What are they doing right, that I’m doing wrong? I’m trying to fucking hard, Hakon! What do I have to do for you to notice me!”
He hadn’t even noticed the tears pricking his eyes, or the way Hakon’s face fell the moment he had started yelling.
His heartbeat sped up as he realized what he had just blurted out. How the hell would he ever make things right again? He looked back up at the other man, who had hardly moved a muscle since his rant began.
“Hakon?” Aiden lightly touched his face, bringing the other man back from his thoughts.
“I- you..” Hakon paused his sentence, searching for the right words. “You just… I.. You like me?” Was all he could mutter, looked down at Aiden, with the most sincere look he’d ever seen on the older man. All he could do was nod, before looking back at the rock, watching a drop of rain spill onto it. Before another one and another.
“All this time too?” Aiden looked back up at Hakon, who was still bearing that same sincere expression, now with drops of rain splattered on his face. Aiden only nodded again, feeling his clothes and hair getting soaked, sending shivers down his bones.
“Why didn’t you… Fuck, kid.” Hakon let out a small chuckle. “Fuck, you should just have said something. I would have given anything to be kissing you instead of those women.” A somber smile spread over his lips, regretting that he had never asked either.
A look of disbelief washed over Aiden’s face, not sure if he heard right or was making things up.
“You should just have asked.” Hakon shook his head with a chuckle, not sure if he believed this himself.
“Is it too late to ask now?” Aiden looked up, meeting the brown eyes, that almost seemed to melt at the question.
“It’s never too late, kiddo.” Hakon smiled softly, closing his eyes and slowly leaning in to place a sweet kiss on the other man’s lips. When he opened them again, he saw the shyest smile he’d ever seen on the younger man, blush creeping up his neck and ears, before the smile curved into a small smirk.
