The time I didn't quite stick the landing. #gopro #goprooftheday
That's her middle finger, btw
Went over to the Dandy Warhols studio here in Portland to see the crazy roof collapse situation. Buildup of ice, snow and rain broke the camel's back, so to speak. Luckily they got most of their equipment out and dried and even luckier they'd just finished recording their new album which is amazing. Coming soon! Fun fact: the dandy Warhols were the last band to open for #Bowie @thedandywarhols #dandywarhols
My mother, @kathebradford, moved to NYC in the 80's with two young children and slept on a pullout couch for 10 years while we went to school and she worked nights and attended art school pursuing a dream of becoming an artist who made a real mark on the world. For years and years she went to other peoples' shows, taught students, and knocked on doors seeking a chance to show her work. She painted everyday. If she wasn't working at a job, she was at her studio early in the morning, staying until late at night, making dinner on a hotplate. Slowly people took notice, group shows, then solo shows in small galleries, nice reviews. We were all proud and full of admiration even then. But recently something amazing has happened. And I'm not exaggerating when I say this- she has made her mark, the one she was really striving for back then. This weekend my twin sister Laura and I flew to NYC to witness the biggest show of her career at the venerable Canada Gallery in lower manhattan. What a feeling it is to see a huge gallery overflowing, packed with people, all crowding in to catch a glimpse of our hardworking mother and her paintings. Every piece in the show sold within minutes. I could've cried seeing this dream come true. No artist is more deserving of this. No artist provides more inspiration to us all. If you only knew how long and hard she worked for the events of that night, how sweet this really is, at this time, you'd love her work even more. Go see this show and bask in this success, because it's good for everyone when things go right in this way. We love you Katherine Bradford! A friend sent me this picture of a well known celebrity who I have to admit did look like me.
A Very Short Film by my lovely daughters Elsie and Theo.
This is my view from the awkward bartender spot when I was on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live last night. That's "dr. Mcsteamy" Eric Dane and Lauren Graham in the hotseats.
We were hiking in eastern Oregon this weekend and came upon this. #rattlesnake

Bill Murray on Gilda Radner:
"Gilda got married and went away. None of us saw her anymore. There was one good thing: Laraine had a party one night, a great party at her house. And I ended up being the disk jockey. She just had forty-fives, and not that many, so you really had to work the music end of it. There was a collection of like the funniest people in the world at this party. Somehow Sam Kinison sticks in my brain. The whole Monty Python group was there, most of us from the show, a lot of other funny people, and Gilda. Gilda showed up and she’d already had cancer and gone into remission and then had it again, I guess. Anyway she was slim. We hadn’t seen her in a long time. And she started doing, “I’ve got to go,” and she was just going to leave, and I was like, “Going to leave?” It felt like she was going to really leave forever. So we started carrying her around, in a way that we could only do with her. We carried her up and down the stairs, around the house, repeatedly, for a long time, until I was exhausted. Then Danny did it for a while. Then I did it again. We just kept carrying her; we did it in teams. We kept carrying her around, but like upside down, every which way—over your shoulder and under your arm, carrying her like luggage. And that went on for more than an hour—maybe an hour and a half—just carrying her around and saying, “She’s leaving! This could be it! Now come on, this could be the last time we see her. Gilda’s leaving, and remember that she was very sick—hello?” We worked all aspects of it, but it started with just, “She’s leaving, I don’t know if you’ve said good-bye to her.” And we said good-bye to the same people ten, twenty times, you know. And because these people were really funny, every person we’d drag her up to would just do like five minutes on her, with Gilda upside down in this sort of tortured position, which she absolutely loved. She was laughing so hard we could have lost her right then and there. It was just one of the best parties I’ve ever been to in my life. I’ll always remember it. It was the last time I saw her.”
