Fireworks in the Fog is my contemporary drama WIP, taking place in 2010s Romania.

Synopsis: Two lonely people bond over their past struggles with mental illness, as well as family conflicts. However, unresolved issues and secrecy threaten their relationship. Only when they face their past are they able to also face each other, openly and selflessly, now finally being able to be there for each other. A story about finding hope, forgiveness, faith, and love, overcoming despair and death.

Background: this WIP started out as a fanfiction in 2019 (which I now refer to as draft 0/ version 0), and I reworked into an original story in 2023, slowly adding more and more lore, plot points, character arcs, and refining the already existing story over the years. Presently, I'm reworking certain ideas for a draft 2/ version 2: the story is the same as draft 1/ version 1 as far as the main characters' arcs go, but with major changes as far as the secondary characters go.
