@professor-cold-ramen
guess who said these things:
“birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race”
“the most urgent problem to-day is how to limit and discourage the over-fertility of the mentally and physically defective”
”I accepted an invitation to talk to the woman’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan…I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak...In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose.”
”On the other hand, the mass of ignorant Negroes still breed carelessly and disastrously, so that the increase among Negroes, even more than the increase among whites, is from that part of the population least intelligent and fit, and least able to rear their children properly.”
“We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”
you guessed it, it’s Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood! oh and the founder of the American Birth Control Legion whose mission according to Sanger is “To promote eugenic birth selection throughout the United States so that there may be more well-born and fewer ill-born children―a stronger, healthier and more intelligent race.”
abortion is a horrible, evil thing, and it shows through the founders morals and beliefs. how can you support a foundation built on the back of this horrible woman?
the people are waking up #dexternation #dextersweep

The gas comes from the hot dogs they sell.

R.C. Sproul and Peace with God
The truest thing I have ever known is how God does literally every possible thing to change our narratives from death to life, including coming to earth as a human (Jesus the Son) as the fulfillment of his promise to Abraham in the Hebrew Scriptures. Because he died for our wrongs and God the Father raised him from death, death has lost its power and Jesus now has all authority. (Jesus, not the people trying to misuse his name to get themselves authority instead.) We are loved without earning it and all that remains is to accept it. When we do so, we receive God's own self in the Holy Spirit, who gives us the power to share in God's life the way a branch shares the life of a tree.
The sure hope of God's total restoration of all things, including his eventual undoing of death for us (just as he undid it for his Son) is the hope that I hold onto and on which I want to base my life. By saying yes to him, we will share his life forever, together with all those who do the same.
This movie was so unapologetically New York it was wonderful.
Bad Bunny started playing and my theater started cheering. There’s a halal butcher shop next to a bodega, the kid Peter saved is a wearing a Knicks jersey and there’s a random tourist bus that’s filled with people wearing tacky New York merchandise. My favorite detail is when Empire State turned on its lights to support Spiderman just like how it does in real life with actual events.
The city is alive, vibrant, and in tune with Spider-Man and we see it become its own character rather than just a background setting. Peter finally interacts with the city again as a figure and as a person as well. There’s people who talk to him, who try to help in battles and these are all the moments that make the city a living and breathing home for Peter Parker and Spiderman together.
Tom Holland has such a better Queens accent too and the final moments of the movie are the end credits of everyday New Yorkers living their lives. Just parks, shots of our skyline and the people who make up the city. Idk but like I’m a New Yorker, and I just looked around in my theater and I saw so many people like me all wearing Spiderman merch who were all able to look on screen and see our home represented perfectly.
