A message to the Tumblr Dom/mes
I am not interested in or looking for online play of any kind. Please, stop messaging me with ‘hey slut/bitch/sissy’ and so forth. If you wouldnt talk to someone like that in person why would it be appropriate here?
Now dont get me wrong, Im ALL for the BDSM community growing and I FULLY encourage you to explore your sexuality without fear of persecution from anyone, myself included. Please understand however, that you’re dipping your toes into a VERY deep lake, and if all the effort you’re going to put into it is a drunk frat boys pickup lines, then you’re going to end up looking pretty foolish.
If you legitimately want to be a Dom/me and you’re new to all this, then I HIGHLY encourage you to do a bit of research. Normally I recommend that you find a dominant and submit to them yourself, get a REAL feel for what its actually like being a submissive or slave (NO, they’re NOT the same thing.) but given that Covid is stopping most social gatherings I recommend that you start with the basics.
Please start with a BDSM checklist. There are several to pick from and a casual google search will provide you with a few options. The goal of the checklist is to find out what you know, what you’ve tried, what you like and what you dont as well as what levels of experience you have in those areas.
The second step is a BDSM dictionary, again these can be found very easily and they’ll provide you with the knowledge of what all those topics in the checklist were. If you’re using some ones kinks/fetishes on them then its a good idea to actually know WTF you’re talking about (This goes double for those of you who are trying to be findommes, if you dont understand your clients needs/wants, then you wont have a client for long.)
If you want to go further than just online text play and would actually like to begin playing with people in real life, then I encourage you to find your areas local coffees and/or munch’s. Theyre typically free to attend (Though you may need to buy coffee/food at the establishment) and will be a GREAT resource of real world knowledge and experience you just cant get online. Local dungeons and/or private groups are also a great learning environment though some may charge you a fee for membership.
I wish you the best of luck on your journey.
