THERAPEUTIC THURSDAY | Tips for looking after yourself as school starts up
Plan your outfits, lunches, backpack stuff the night before, so you can sleep a little longer in the morning
try and go to bed at a consistent time if you can
try your best not to skip meals
Remember that everyone else is probably just as nervous and stressed out as you are, not everyone is looking at your flaws (true story, they probably don’t even notice the things you’re insecure about)
Stay active if you can, a nice walk after dinner or homework can be beneficial to your body and mind
talk to someone when things start getting tough, a friend, teacher or parent/relative might have some advice on the situation or just help by listening
take well deserved breaks, a nap, coffee break, an episode of your favourite show. this will help keep you from getting overwhelmed
