Who is Fen again?

The guy who Amaya interacts with at the Breach in season 2! His name is a huge joke, because early in season 2 we were all really bummed to be doing a scene with Amaya and no Gren. So the writer who wrote his first scene named him “Fen” for “Fake Gren,” and he became the object of our ridicule through many phases of developing his episodes. At one point we had to cut some of his lines, so we all gleefully made jokes along the lines of, “GOD, FINALLY. SHUT UP FEN.” Perhaps we’re too hard on Fen, but he’s no Gren.

You know, if you rewatch Episode 1 of Season 2, just listen to the way Callum’s voice changes when he begins talking about Rayla. We know he admires her, but you can hear it. The intonation and tone of his voice changes as if recalling Rayla in his mind is something that makes him feeling different. Good.

If you listen, it almost sounds like he’s daydreaming about her a bit.

Now, couple this with the scene where he’s drawing her later in the season. When you consider that he was distracted all of season 2 with his own magic dilemma, it makes you wonder just how much Rayla is actually on his mind even if it’s unconsciously.
