Ameria is a maiden who got trapped in an abusive relationship with Claire, who isn't what Ameria thought she was. Claire, many decades older than she appears, has been taking sexual gratification from and satiating her bloodlust by feeding on Ameria. Unable to take it anymore, Ameria wanders out into the rainstorm with little more than a dagger and a note. She's stopped by the gorgeous detective who appears before her, seeking to apprehend the very vampire who made the last few years of Ameria's life a waking nightmare.

I didn’t understand at first why a bunch of these liberal white queers kept saying that they don’t support Palestine because Palestinians are all homophobic- I thought it was a gross generalisation like a normal person. How can you say that they are all homophobic? There are definitely queer people within Palestine. There are definitely straight allies within Palestine. Even if the vast majority are homophobic, how can you support their slaughter?

Then I remembered. Yes, they’re queer. They’re also white. They can’t possibly fathom a brown person might be like them. To them, brown queers don’t even exist.
