Hello there!

My name is Angel, and this is a study blog, I suppose? I'm kinda new to Tumblr so we'll see what happens :)

I'm trying out the 100 days of productivity challenge with my own small adjustments. There are three categories: Creativity, Academia/Work/Major Tasks, and Studying. The goal is to have at least one productive thing done in each category every day! Summary:

Creativity: Anything with my creative side (art, writing, music, etc.)

Academia/Work/Major Tasks: Schoolwork, preparation for lessons (I'm a music teacher), major chores or appointments, etc.

Studying: Every day, I must practice concepts to get better at them (can take as little or as much time as I need).

Reading/writing: Updates on what I'm currently reading and/or writing, not mandatory to include.

Music: Just what I was listening to for that day :)

Other things about me...I love space, biology, and dramatic classical music. I always thought of myself as a dark academia fan, but lately, I've been really digging light academia! Also, I love tea :)

10.22.24 - 20/100 Days of Productivity

Already a fifth of the way through the challenge...that is crazy...today I was so so tempted to sleep in but I did not and was greeted by the most beautiful mystical fog of my life (my campus is up on a hill and all the fog gathered at the bottom). It was beautiful!!

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Attended stats lab

Attended WGSS lecture

Submit lab report for chem

Completed writing portfolio

Wrote out procedure + organization in lab notebook

College orchestra rehearsal in the evening B)

10.21.24 - 19/100 Days of Productivity

We are so back!! Today wasn't perfect by any means and I still felt exhausted, but I was able to work through it and get some tasks done :) we also had our final evening choir rehearsal, I'm so relieved <3 the group is doing good, now we just perform next Sunday.

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Attended stats lecture

Attended chem lecture

Finished calculations section of lab report

Completed two WGSS chapter readings

Advising appointment

Completed half of writing portfolio

Choir rehearsal

Creativity:

Working on foreground of TPM scene (it's taking me ages but I'm like...75% done...)

10.16.24 - 18/100 Days of Productivity

This was the only other productive day during my unplanned break. I was doing so good in the morning...and then after lab I just. Didn't do anything 🥰 and that trend continued for the next 4 days LMAO

Deep cleaned entire first floor...1.5 hours...

Finished 3 WGSS article readings

Completed stats hw :D

Completed WGSS chapter reading

10.15.24 - 17/100 Days of Productivity

So. This is almost a full week late. But my mental health took a turn for the worse and I've only had two productive days this past week 💔 this was one of the days (I kept track of my tasks). I'll post this day and the other productive day and hopefully things start looking up so I can continue the challenge!!

Creativity:

Quick sketches in morning

Touched up some spots on TPM drawing

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Deep cleaned cat bathroom

10.14.24 - 16/100 Days of Productivity

A wonderful productive day after a restful weekend <3 I'm really liking the no-school-work Saturday and the Lazy Sunday. I got a lot done today, and I was super exhausted by the end of it, but it's okay. I finished my pre-lab instead of waiting until the day of lab to do it, so that removed most of my worries :)

Creativity:

Rendering TPM drawing (added skyscrapers...woah...)

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Attended stats + chem lectures

Completed 75% of stats hw

Finished two WGSS readings

Completed, submitted, and printed chem pre-lab B)

Updated choir notes

Repot Rex (my big ol' monstera)

Wrote out lab procedure in lab notebook (there were so many parts dude)

10.13.24 - 15/100 Days of Productivity

A wonderful lazy Sunday! We went to church, got our silly little drinks afterward, and mostly just organized and played Minecraft today <3 I didn't get around to repotting my plants or drawing, but it's okay. It was a good day.

Hobbies:

Practiced piano

Played minecraft :D

Other Tasks:

Spent 2 hours organizing all piano music (lost my mando sheet music :( looking for it as we speak)

Watered some plants and prepped others for repotting

Took out/replaced all trash bags

Submit stats lab

10.12.24 - 14/100 Days of Productivity

🎧 Lady Gaga - Judas

Another day another...brainrotting session </3. Well. I followed through with the no-schoolwork-saturday thing, so I didn't do any homework and felt absolutely no guilt for it. I tried out a new cookie recipe, but it took me four hours to make, and the cookies turned out mid. I did get to practice piano for the first time in ages, though. I'll be experimenting with changing "Creativity" to "Hobbies" for now.

Hobbies:

Baked!! Spent 4 hours on apple crumble cookies

40 min piano practice

Other Tasks:

Washed all the dishes (got all the pots and pans, man...)

Drove someone to pick up their car

🎧 Lady Gaga - Americano

Took my chem exam today!! It actually went by SO well, but I got a little scared afterward because the professor asked me if I was sure I was done when I handed it in and all of my friends told me it was the most stressful exam they'd ever taken...either I studied well, or I'm the biggest chemistry fool alive. Aside from that, I brainrotted today. One day, I'll be able to do hobbies to relax my mind instead of brainrotting. But today is not that day. :(

Academia/Work:

Chem exam :D

Finished a chapter of stats textbook

Attended healthcare careers lecture

Study:

15 min heat energy transfer practice

45 min exam review

Wooo today was such a big study day!! I'm so proud of myself :D I mean it's sad that I didn't have time for any creative today, but I had the energy for both work AND studying? In one day?? Woohooooo!!! (Chem exam tomorrow guys, we are so ready 😎)

Academia/Work:

Attended stats lab + women's studies guest talk (ADHD in women)

Completed 90% of stats R Tutorial - Lesson 2

Full shift at work

Study:

15 min redox reactions in morning

70 min redox reactions + molarity concentration

50 min limiting reactant and all that stuff before work (struggling)

75 min limiting reactant and all that stuff during/after work (got it!!)

10.09.24 - 11/100 Days of Productivity

Today was kinda :(. Don't get me wrong, the setup was perfect. I was gonna study a lot today. And I brainrotted all day instead 💔 hhh we can't dwell on this but it sucks nevertheless. I know brainrotting is a symptom and not a cause, but I have yet to find that cause.

Creativity:

Sketching w/ breakfast & tea :)

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Finished stats R Tutorial - Lesson 1

Study:

10 min net ionic equations in morning

25 min net ionic equations + weak/strong acides & bases in afternoon

Shhh we're gonna ignore this is being posted two days late. Not much to say here, I was just studying, continuing to work on the bullet journal and attending orchestra rehearsal. Super tired :( (but also I'm 10% done with this challenge already?? Woah!)

Creativity:

Made progress on second page of bullet journal for art project

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Attended stats + women's studies lectures

Completed stats HW

Finished stats lab

Completed stats chapter reading

2.5 hr orchestra rehearsal

🎧 Mark Bernes - Dark is the Night

Today was pretty good, if we're ignoring that I keep going to bed late :( but it's okay. I got so much studying done today and even made a plan of what I need to study for the next few days before my exam. So far, I'm really good with a few topics, but I gotta strengthen all of them!

Creativity:

Quick drawing session in the morning (TPM scene)

1 hour drawing session of rendering TPM scene background

Small drawing session at night (same scene)

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Two complete loads of towels...washed, folded, put away

Attended stats + chem lectures

Choir practice (they're sounding so much better! I'm so glad I could help them out)

Helped move free piano from yesterday to friend

1 hour combustion analysis problems- timed

25 min problem sets on empirical ratios

10.06.24 - 8/100 Days of Productivity

🎧 Kerry Muzzey - The Secret History

Today was actually really nice! After brainrotting the entire weekend, I really pulled it together for today :) I did fall back into the habit of daydreaming, which resulted in me staying up until midnight to finish chem homework, but hey. We're slowly improving here.

More time is needed to confirm this, but I'm starting to see a pattern of doing a bunch of things one day and then feeling exhausted and guilty the next. I'm thinking of leaving Saturdays as absolutely no homework shall be done days to remove the guilt of resting from schoolwork. We'll see!

Creativity:

One page of bullet journal planned out (for an art project that is brewing...hehe...)

An hour of rendering the TPM scene I'm currently working on

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Picked up free keyboard from job

Folded bed sheets

Cleaned first floor + dish duty

Completed parts 2 & 3 of stats R Tutorial

3.5 hours chem homework

Study:

25 min flashcards on solubility

20 min predicting + balancing equations & solubility

10.05.24 - 7/100 Days of Productivity

Oh today was just. 🙃

I hesitated even updating today but we've gotta record our losses alongside with our wins. Besides, I got things done in at least two categories, which is better than yesterday. My mood was all over the place today, which kept me from doing mostly ANYTHING. No schoolwork done today, either.

Creativity:

Spent an hour rendering a scene from The Phantom Menace (about 25% done!)

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Held a piano lesson for youngest sister

Ran errands for plant stuff (did not repot yet tho)

Honestly...today wasn't the most productive. I didn't do my creativity OR my studying 😭 but today was a Friday, and I'm just. Mentally exhausted. Oh well.

Academia/Work/Major Tasks:

Washed bedsheets + blankets

Cleaned first floor + was in charge of breakfast

Attended chem + bio lectures

Finished + submit chem lab report

Worked on chem HW problems

Ran errands with sister

10.3.24 - 5/100 Days of Productivity

🎧 Vera Lynn - We'll Meet Again

Woo! Today was actually pretty good. I told myself I'd take it easy after whatever yesterday was, and that's exactly what I did. Absolutely 0 schoolwork done in the morning- I just played Fallen Order and wrote for an hour! I was super invested in my fic, it's actually insane (speaking of which, I reached 10k words!). I went to work for the majority of the day, then did some schoolwork afterward. It was exactly what I needed.

Creativity:

1 hour writing session (1.5k words!!)

Academia/Work:

Went to my regular full shift, only one student didn't show

Typed everything for chem lab report except post lab section

Study:

15 min of finding theoretical yield in grams given a balanced equation

📝Skipped over the section I was stuck on in the Thrawn and Kanan field trip fic and got sucked into scenes that were just flowing back to back
