Is and isn't. Or, no tart.
Had a nice birthday up in Vermont. Met these guys & girls on the side of the road... So damn pretty.
Send in order to receive.

George Jones, we'll miss thee...
An anonymous note in Harvard Square. Speaks for most of us...

Listen
with the night falling we are saying thank you
we are stopping on the bridges to bow from the railings
we are running out of the glass rooms with our mouths full of food to look at the sky
and say thank you
we are standing by the water thanking it
smiling by the windows looking out
in our directions

Because the model of getting music out there has so drastically changed, I'm fine with The Cynthia Sessions being on Spotify. But as fans, please remember that it doesn't matter how many times you listen to an artist's songs. The royalties from Spotify and Pandora are a pitiful joke. The only thing to do if you're really a fan is purchase from CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, etc. At least those services actually pay musicians a mostly fair percentage. This article clearly breaks it down with facts and figures.
Check it out, then please go here and pick up a song or the record! Share this point if ya like. Cheers.

Saturday morning, and everything is okay, forever.
This is a piece I wrote last week for the Carcanet blog that expands on ideas and questions related to an event last month called Writing Against Memory. It also includes a clip of my reading. Please share if ya like.
Boom! Have at it, and please share! And if yer in the Boston area come celebrate with us at the release show this Saturday at Radio in Somerville. Cheers!
