currently building a portfolio of examples for my new commission listing, sketch pages- so im taking pwyw commissions for them! there's no minimum for uncolored sketch sheets + just a $4 minimum for a colored one. you can send me a tip on my ko-fi and then dm me there (or here!) with character image refs.

note: these comms are going to be skeb style (basically you pick the character but i decide what's drawn) but i like to base sketches off of character details, so youre welcome to share info about their backstory and personality!

some other notes:

- sketch pages will have 1-2 fullbodies, 1-2 halfbodies, and 2-4 headshots (may contain chibi full-bodies and emoji style headshots)

- sketches will be cleaned up

- these will be used as commission examples

- all my usual commission terms of service still apply (no AI training/enhancing, no commercial use, no removing credit)

- i don't take refunds for these due to them being pwyw skeb style, but im willing to change any details i got wrong about your character's design in the artwork

- limit of 2 characters per sketch sheet (sketches will be split roughly 50/50 between the two characters)

- you cannot use the design artwork to train AI, nor modify the design artwork with AI, nor any loopholes like having a person or AI do so for you

- the design may be sold for real or digital currency if you add art you made 100% by yourself (not AI generated) or comissioned from a human artist. you can also trade this design for other designs or accept art for the design.

- the design artwork made by me may not be sold on merchandise- however, if you want to sell merchandise of art you made of the design, that's fine by me

- do not remove the digital signature on the artwork ("design by artpawsii",) and credit me as the artist if reuploading the art elsewhere

To keep myself motivated, I think for the first few I will do polls where everyone can pick from options like emoji combinations, moodboards, etc- and whichever one wins, I'll design the adopt based around. The finished design itself would be first come first serve, but totally free to claim :)

art block is your brain telling you to do studies.

draw a still life. practice some poses. sketch some naked people. do a color study. try out a different technique on a basic shape.

art block doesnt stop you from drawing, it stops you from making your drawings look the way you want them to. and thats because you need to push your skills to the next level so you can preform at that standard

think of it as level grinding for your next work.

As a scientific illustrator- this is 100% true and going to review your basics will fix it every goddamn time.  Not only does it keep your skills sharp, when you’re not emotionally invested in the final product of a piece, you relax and your brain makes more/better art juice for you.  So, when you get back to that big/important piece?  You’ll know what to do and how to do it.

Nothing in nature blooms all year round.  Rest, and take care of yourself.
