Lagu Lagu Manis

"Its an orchestral piece influenced by Balinese gamelan melody and dance.  The title Lagu Lagu Manis is Indonesian for 'sweet melodies and the piece suggests dance and music I heard and saw during visits to Indonesia. The visuals, drawings etc., are by David Cox (my husband and collaborator); we did enjoy putting this work together and feel that Youtube seems to be a good way to go to put the music 'out there'.  I hope you might enjoy the piece, performed by the Ruse Philharmonic Orchestra, Bulgaria, the duration is about five minutes...here is the link:" ~Betty Beath, composer

Bully-Wind Bob Flies Free Mark Svendsen

Emergency Services Queensland will release ACQI member, Mark Svendsen's picture book on cyclone safety 'When Bully-Wind Bob Comes to Town' as a free public interest ebook. 

First published by Townsville City Council Emergency Services the new ebook will be read by Mark, with soundscape engineered by | the lost underground |. Illustrator Harry Buckingham is in the process of converting the physical book to ebook format and linking it to Emergency Services websites.

Keep an eye out for its release later this year.
