Black-tipped reef shark Carcharhinus melanopterus
Throwback thursday, some fishies from 2023 :)
Atlantic horseshoe crab Limulus polyphemus
Somewhat experimental sketchy of ^ this girl! You know her, she's an icon. Of like, perseverance through earth history and also the r-strategy.
Art zoo!
Which arthropod next?
Dicromantispa
Vespa
Scutigera
Brachypelma
Other? Comment!

Just leaving a little note that I'm still alive for the people who might come by from the a-dinosaur-a-day reblog <3
Hi. I will art again and that is a threat
All the mermays once more, put together :D
Seahorse trader
Many merfolk are distrustful of land-dwellers, but this one frequently acts as a translator-diplomat and will happily do business with you!
Arapaima hunter
An experienced hunter of large and dangerous creatures! The damage to his fin has changed the way he moves and his hunting strategies, but he is working with it.
Tripod Mermaid
She's a scholar studying the fauna of deep sea vents and such!
Not at all how I wanted it but I've just started with this style. And character-wise I think she came out cute :D
Also she's a mermaid form my ttrpg project that's focused on exploring!

Mermay WIP!
Another example NPC for the RPG (setting) I'm maybe possibly making, paired with Draw A Centaur Day!
Tagging @horsefigureoftheday because she brought it to my attention, I hope you don't mind and perhaps enjoy this guy a little <3
I'm being lowkey consumed by turning one of my fantasy worlds into an RPG setting
Here's a WIP of an example nightelf who is also Lislet
Sunbathing
I was trying to lean away from posting ARPG art here but I really like how this one came out!
Featuring Arapaima the vayron, taking a little nap in the sun.
Sixgill hagfish Eptatretus hexatrema
The pose was based on this post. Hagfishes are the only vertebrates that can literally tie themselves into knots! They do this to wipe off excess slime. Because they produce. Unholy amounts of slime.
This guy was really fun to do, I feel I got back to what originally motivated me to do these paintings: just a bit of playing around with different colour hues and shades on nice amimals.
Also they look so soft. I want to hold one. It would probably just feel slimy and also immediately slip itself out of my hands, but loook at her.

Which fish next?
Carcharhinus melanopterus
Pterapogon cauderni
Pterois volitans
Latimeria chalumnae

You can look them up or go by vibes :D If you suggest something else and it doesn’t win, I’ll add it to my list for the future!
