Hey there.

been feeling quite Some Way about drawing lately. Online platforms are becoming more and more hostile towards artist. It's either fighting to be seen with algorithms that favor ragebait and short videos over art, or if you do get seen, hoping that no one edits your artworks (thanks, twitter, for that feature.) or throws it into any GenAI client. So I question myself lately if it's worth the effort to draw & post at all anymore. Because drawing takes time and energy, and it's exhausting to invest those just for your art to not be seen or disrespected.

I could just draw for myself, but at this point i don't even know if I enjoy it all that much anymore. Maybe it's just one big artblock, but I've had plenty of those and usually I feel frustrated at my inability to draw. Right now I just don't. I don't care. We'll see if this resolves, or doesn't.

But anyway, all of this had me thinking about my OCs that accompanied me for decades. That were created when I was younger and overflowing with creativity and gusto for drawing, that I still hold dear even though their appearances in my art have gotten rare over the years. They are still there and I still cherish them, and they deserved to be acknowledged again at least. :')
