The costumes aren't up everyone's alley but I personally don't hate them, they're not that bad

Seeing them in motion in curtain call clips they do make more sense than just in a still photo and the moves make the characters more readable

The only exciting bit about the costumes is what the fandom will draw of them or attempt (that’s the part I’m looking forward too because that tends to bring them a little bit more justice..)

you’re telling me THIS is supposed to be rum tum tugger? 😭😭 holy freaking heck I’m gonna CRASH OUT. where’s his mane? his spiked collar? his leg warmers? his exaggerated face paint? his sass? they’ve stripped him of his very essence. 💔 yes I understand this is a revival and they need to modernise it for the younger generations but he doesn’t even look like a cat anymore. it just looks so cheap. the casting isn’t an issue so like no hate to the actor or anything, it’s the friggin costume departments fault. on the whole image I couldn’t even tell which cat was supposed to be who. hopefully when more professional images come out it looks somewhat tolerable but it’s a low bar…
