I want to feel bad that I hate Kylo Ren so much. I do, because I know some fans genuinely like him/think he is cool/excited about where his character is going. I just hate, hate what the fandom has done to him. A great consensus of Kylo fans ship him with Rey, they don’t care about Finn’s arc whatsoever, he was “abused by his parents”, they woobify his choices and evil deeds in TFA (like senseless murder and genocide lol), they try to make him out to be the main character of this franchise and cancel out his role as the primary antagonist… I could go on. Don’t get me wrong, I would hate Kylo even if the majority of his hardcore fans weren’t like that. But it would be an endearing hate where I could at least appreciate his character for what he is, and not groan when I see his stupid helmet on the front of some kid’s lunchbox. Now I just see his entire existence in SW as outright obnoxious. I can’t take people seriously when they say “Kylo was sooo cool!” And I hate that. I would love to appreciate him for the villain that he is, but even that seems like giving him too much credit when I would rather dote on Rey, Poe, or Finn. tl;dr this fandom has killed Kylo Ren for me. And unless he does something crazy awesome/has a compelling backstory/stops throwing stupid temper tantrums by the end of VIII, I will probably always feel this way.

I know you're going to think this is antiFinn but he is immature in comparison to Kylo or even Poe and that is why either of them would be a better match for Rey. It's not Finn's fault but it is what it is. Rey fended for herself and is wiser than her years. She would get bored with Finn not knowing about the world. He isn't a Force user like Kylo, he doesn't speak multiple languages like Poe. I think Finn has potential but I think his fans have to admit he's not there in comparison to others.

Rey didn’t know that forests were a thing and Kylo has the emotional self-regulation of a two-year-old.

so far not a single person has provided a good explanation for how reysky fits with bloodline after i asked for ideas. i guess that says it all.

ia that rey erso is very very far-fetched and unlikely but reysky hasn't been debunked to me. there's a difference between reysky believers which pablo isn't allowed to confirm or deny and those who still cling to rey erso which he obviously denied.

I don’t think Rey Skywalker is debunked, but I have a very hard time figuring out how it would work with what Bloodline revealed though. I’ve thought about it since the book came out trying to come up with some kind of backstory that would fit that wouldn’t make Luke look like a terrible incompetent parent or making the mother look like terrible but I can’t. If you have any genius ideas, I’d love to hear them! It could be that they don’t care about some inconsistency between the movies and books, that is Pablo’s job and I don’t think he’s doing a good job so far anyways.
