i feel like most commentary youtubers have some intrinsic hatred towards marginalized groups that slips through the cracks when they make commentary on people, especially lolcows. The absolute lack of sympathy concerns me, and I find more and more that youtubers tend to overlook nuance in order to worsen the image of the person they are commenting on.
i find it interesting that in a game where you can vacation to space, and go to all different regions of europe and Asia, that the entire continent of africa is generalized into one trip. I find this funny because north africa has a different cultural landscape than subsaharan africa, and instead of taking the miis to urban areas, they take them to: the sahara, the pyramids of giza, and a nondescript place in Madagascar. they could have gone to Lagos or Johannesburg or Marrakesh if they were gonna make a single trip for africa, make them go to the city like they do with any other trip but no, they must go to the sahara.
i just replayed resident evil requiem and I was kind of surprised by how unsatisfied I was with the good ending. After you choose hope, you're given a 2 minute cutscene of zeno and victor bickering and then you fight a mutated victor. His design IS cool and he does have interesting phases but there's also something so boring and easy about it that it takes you out of immersion. Like, the fighting area is so small and victor isn't a hard boss to fight either way, so it just feels like it was last minute and rushed. Compared to other boss fights especially, for example Mr. X, or Nemesis even with the power generators that you push in, you have to do things in between damage phases, or like, Jack Baker, because his boss fight is actually quick stressful. Or even saddler, has one of the most interesting and entertaining boss fights. Victors is pretty anticlimactic. to be fair, there are certainly other anticlimactic boss fights in the franchise. I think that a lot of the hype over the good ending is the details in the cutscenes rather than playable content, though.
people saying that women aren't over sexualized in video games are lying-- even if it's not the developers there's still so many adult mods out there for games, see resident evil, and if it's not the fan base then it's the developers. I'd like to say that I think that there are times when women aren't sexualized but much more prevalent times when they are, and that it doesn't matter if the character is a nun or is literally naked that she can and will be sexualized. Its not just rule 34 of the internet, it shows a blatant disrespect for women from developers who don't care about giving women stories beyond fridging them or sexualizing them, and from people on the internet who don't care for women in games, and instead only see them as something to be sexualized.
I’m writing this to explain our situation in Gaza as clearly and honestly as possible, without exaggeration.
Right now, daily life is unstable in every aspect. There is no reliable access to electricity. When it is available, it’s only for short and unpredictable periods. Charging phones or using basic devices has become difficult, which also limits communication and access to information.
Water is a constant concern. Clean drinking water is not always available, and when we find it, we have to store and use it very carefully. In many cases, people rely on limited or unsafe sources. This directly affects health, especially for children.
Food is also limited. There is no normal access to markets or regular supplies. Meals are simple and often not enough. People are not choosing what to eat they are taking whatever is available just to get through the day.
Housing is one of the biggest challenges. Many families, including ours, are no longer living in proper homes. Instead, they stay in temporary shelters or tents. These conditions are difficult: high temperatures during the day, cold at night, no real protection, and no privacy. Sleeping is irregular, and rest is limited.
Healthcare is extremely hard to access. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and basic medical supplies are not always available. Even minor health issues can become serious because treatment is delayed or unavailable.
There is also continuous psychological pressure. The uncertainty is constant. People do not know what will happen next, where they might have to move, or how conditions will change. This affects both adults and children on a daily basis.
This campaign is for Anas’ family. The goal is simple: to secure basic needs like food, water, and safer temporary shelter. There is no unnecessary request here only essential support to get through this situation.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference in covering these needs.
