....How bad of an idea is OMAD?
My mother saw a copperhead so now it's being murdered. What right do they have to do this? "It's poisonous" is their excuse which just makes it worse. How can you murder a creature for a trait it doesn't have? They mean venomous, but it doesn't matter. They would kill a garter snake if they could.
I love insects and viruses so much, but I think my most realistic job idea is an eating disorder therapist which only sorta sounds fun once you take into consideration how long college is. Except I haven't even recovered from my eating disorders; I don't think you can recover from ARFID anyway. And anorexics so rarely fully recover, is it even worth trying? I can't relapse because I pack school lunch, but I kinda wanna. I've only been in recovery a couple days and I'm already trying to ruin it. I don't even feel scared or ugly or out of control or anything, I'm just used to it. At this point my anorexia is like a partner you don't love anymore, but don't really want to break up with so you just stay in a crappy relationship as you both drift apart and wish you were single. I really need to pick soon though because I have to go to college in a couple years and this whole switching from one job idea to another every few months can't continue. IDK what to do.
I've always been under the impression that viruses are living, but my honors biology class put that under question today. Apparently, scientists aren't sure, and most of my classmates think they're non-living, so what do y'all have to say about the subject?
Definitely living
Probably living
I'm not sure, but I'd like to think they're living
Definitely non-living
Probably non-living
I'm not sure, but I'd like to think they're non-living
And, yes, this is what inspired my username.
I've seen more nature in the past hour than usual. Immediately upon arriving home I saw a blue tailed lizard on my porch, I tried to get a picture, but it ran behind the mop bucket first. I did get a picture of the Tipula maxima on my bedroom wall, however, I don't know where it is now, though. And then there was a clover mite crawling on my phone. If you see a Tipula maxima or clover mite you're supposed to kill it, but I didn't. Who am I to decide what gets to live and die? Does it being an insect or arachnid make it better? I don't think so.
