You can call me DIRT, He/they. My silly Undertale au is called "UNDER THE ANGEL"
I'm mainly using the au to work on my world building and character design, also to practice comic making, things like that.
Just a heads up, my au deals a lot with religion and what comes with that. It's a fictional religion that takes themes and ideas from real ones. So if that's not your thing, that's cool, I totally get it. There are also some mature themes this au deals with, I will tag appropriately and give fair warning. But for now, nothing crazy is going on (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧
I may disappear every so often due to personal reasons and I'm still trying to organize things and make it make sense so bear with me, feel free to ask anything.

Because I've been thinking about him. We don't KNOW what he looks like, we just assumed mystery man was scientist man. I love fannon Gaster, don't get me wrong. But like..
He could be so much more
What if he wasn't some skeleton, what if he was just some guy, a random monster, he could secretly be annoying dog, or he's FRIEND, egg man even, he could just be a shadow. He could be
Human.

NOW here me out, this is a lot like a character from a show, but I swear I wasn't even thinking of that when I thought of this.
So W.D was the FIRST human to either fall or he knew the monster before they went underground. He became so in love with magic, with the concept of the Angel. Now, magic is a hard thing to study, so as he slowly made progress, he aged, and with that, a thought came to mind. What if humans could eat magic the same way monsters did.
Magic has nasty side effects when it comes to humans, that's why the old mages never ever used them on their bodies. But Gaster was desperate, he was aging, his mind grew foggy, so in a desperate attempt to preserve his life, he consumed magic. And it worked. He lived for years and years, but of course, the side effects would catch up to him eventually, slowly turning him into a REAL monster. His priorities changed, he needed to find a way to sustain his life, he did tests on monster's and every human that fell, with each victim- I mean.. iteration, he grew closer to his goal.
Of course the artificial monsters he created just couldn't stand being around him and foiled his plans, Injecting him with something he had been working on, it- WOAH comic spoilers...
I mean.. I could just make him a monster, I was just planning on covering his face for the whole comic to be mysterious and totally not hide the fact I haven't landed on a proper design.
Any thoughts on the matter? Should I just make W.D Gaster a skeleton or some monster, or should I make him human?

I don't think I can currently make any more pages, my laptop isn't letting me do anything, the lag is SO bad. I just cleared it out the other day, and now my storage is full again. I thought I'd have more time before it completely gave up (ᗒᗩᗕ)
Worry not, this is not forever, I'm hoping to get a new computer on my birthday next week.
So I said in my pinned post that my au would deal with some mature themes, just some touchy subjects and whatever. There's no real meaning behind any of it, I'm just having fun playing with dolls, yk? Like Muffet being my aus version of Walter white. But I don't want to post something that y'all won't like. I already had someone mad about my Chara, and I don't want someone upset about my au having an actual drug ring going on, not to mention the toxic dynamics I have in place.
It's not just a new take on Sans and Papyrus, I'm changing the whole world, the dynamics and the characters. It's fantasy, but it deals with real topics. I don't want to take it too far. I'm fine with keeping a lot of it to myself or posting it elsewhere, you guys let me know. There's a few things I've been wanting to post, like Muffet and her "farm" or Alphys and her situation, or Undyne with hers. But I won't if y'all ain't cool with that, I don't want to be THAT guy
It's so stupid, but SO funny because Gaster comes in right after this. I don't know if I should keep this in the comic. It wouldn't affect the story much, but Papyrus would be so fried and standing in the background like 🧍
I dunno, it's just something silly to break up the drama. I'm also thinking about how funny it'd be if Gaster took a hit too
Finally! Im so happy I finally settled on a design for these guys. These silly goobers are the 'Royal Guard' of my AU. But they're called Guardians.

Guardians refers to the group as a whole, an umbrella term. There are Cadets, Bishops, and The Ark's. I'm still playing around with the names, so that may change, I've been trying to find a different name for cadets.
The reason I chose Gaurdians, Bishops and Arks, is because of Catholic/Christian stuff, I chose Bishop because of Catholic bishops, how those guys are kind of right in the middle of the hierarchy, and it just sounds awesome. Now, as for the Ark. Originally, I wanted to follow the priestly theme, but as I was designing and thinking of their role, I thought of Angels. So we get Archangels, their role fits the Ark's, but Arch is kind of silly, so Its just Ark. Guardian's was the first name I thought of, because of 'Guardian Angels' and because of Guardians of the Galaxy, it's so simple, but i feel like it brings it all together really well
Training to become a Bishop is technically mandatory, like being drafted for the military. Of course not everyone is able, but plenty are.
Cadets are pretty self explanatory, they are training to become a Bishop. They will shadow a Bishop through out the day, help where they can and learn. The training to become a Cadet is a grueling process, you need to be physically able, and have strong magic. They do heavy background checks, there can be no trace of impurity, you cannot be a reformed criminal, there can be no sign of previous addiction. Of course this line is blurred when you do become a Bishop, they are able to get away with more things. Dedicated Cadets will act like an Ark because they truly believe in the church, so make sure you play it safe when you're around them, you never know who's a snitch
Bishops are just worker bees. They are officers, they train the cadets, guard the crown, protect the cities, they do everything and anything. Your cat is stuck in the rafters? Call the local Bishop. Need help transporting baked goods? Call the local Bishop. Grandpa fell? You know who to call. A cluster of wisp's is terrorizing your home? Who you gonna call? GHOSTBUS- I mean.. Your local Bishop!
Then we have the Ark's. Think Monks. They are born anew, washing away the sins of the world, in order to server the church. They renounce any sense of identity, genders, names, family and friends, they take a vow of silence. They are the general's of the guardians, or more like supervisors, accompany groups of Bishops to make sure things are done right and pleases the Angel, if the situation calls for it, they can join a fight. Everyone practically worships the ground the Ark's walk on, they are the ideal monster, and gods in the eyes of others.
You cannot make friends with an Ark like you could a Cadet or Bishop. While you can technically get away with something if you ask the right Bishop/Cadet, you cannot under any circumstances, do anything with an Ark. They are the eyes and ears of the Angel, they gave everything up for the cause, of course they wouldn't allow impurity to happen under their watch. Think Dystopian (1984 book/Movie especially) Or the eyes in Handmaid's Tale. An Ark is simply just that, an Ark, as I said, they have no identity outside of that. They show no mercy, give no pity, they have no false sense of confidence, they are not arrogant or prideful, they are The Ark. Perfect and pure.
Unlike Royal guards in Undertale who serve the crown, the Guardians serve the church. No one wants to say it, but the church is clearly on top of the food chain, leaving the royal family second. What does this make Gaster? The head priest? I'll leave that up to interpretation
Little design rant. I have tried multiple times to design the Guardian's, each attempt either didn't fit in the world/role, or it was to modern. I needed an intimidating character, and a uniform that fit the world, along with that I needed the uniform to be able to fit all monsters, because a Dogaressa's anatomy is different from Undyne's, the helmet gave me a lot of trouble because of this. It's so hard to explain, but what do you guys think? What's your first impression based on looks alone, who are you more likely to trust?
Something is brewing. Papyrus is tired of being thrown around and treated like garbage, he has a plan, but will it work how he hoped? You'll have to wait and see for part two!!

This is just a mini comic, something small to practice making stuff like this. I plan on making more little comics in the future. I can't keep their story a mystery forever
I've been busy with things lately and it's been taking up my time and energy, so this is going to take me a while to get out. Hence why I'm breaking it up into chunks, I'm aiming for every part to be 9+ pages. This will get done, I'm actually really excited to see how y'all will react to this. It's only a small part of the story, there are so many characters with their own story I'm itching to tell. And it's about damn time tbh.

This thing is such a game changer. I always feel like I'm wasting paper, NOW I got this thing. Great for quick studies or concept art. Been using it for the comic
Quick update, part 2 is in production. It may take me longer just because there are going to be more pages, it's already more pages than pt 1 and I'm just getting started. I may post it in smaller parts, and hopefully the gap between parts is shorter. WE'LL SEE.

YAP INCOMING! Totally a random ramble about Papy, and how he acted before the.. Well, when he was younger
P1-104 (Papyrus) was always much more defiant than his brother. Of course this was because of ██████ (Riverperson) who planted seeds of doubt and was the father Gaster never was. ██████ gave him human books, taught him things about the world, and treated him like a son instead of a test subject. Because of all the things ██████ was saying about Gaster, Papyrus grew to hate him, hate what he stood for and his obsession. It was only after Papyrus accidently got ██████ fired that Papy started to act, sneaking around, finding out the truth and trying to save his brother despite their strained relationship. He tried running away plenty of times, but it only resulted in his legs being broken time and time again. he never stopped though.
As much as he despised his creator, he picked up a few things from him. How to lie, manipulate and gaslight, he learned to observe, pick apart what made someone so insecure so he could use it against them, something he commonly does to S2 (Sans) he hates doing it, but manipulating his brother to feel guilty buys him time. Even if it causes S2 to retreat into himself more often then not
One day, after ███ he ██████████████████████████████████████████████waited ███████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ kept ████████ until █████████████████████████████████████████ left ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ hurt ████████████████████████████ got out.
Now Papyrus is a cadet! Living in snowdin with his brother, he ditched those old habits, or atleast... did he? He cant remember, not that it matters anymore. He still gets those weird feelings about something not being right, that he's being watched, he has feelings about people he doesn't remember meeting, and for whatever reason, he REALLY hates the head Priest. He cant remember the name though, maybe it started with a G? He visits ██████ (Riverperon) he doesn't know why, he just does. It helps him feel calm, and ██████ is a good friend. From time to time, Papyrus does something. He doesn't mean to, but when he and Sans get into fights, Papyrus ████████████, and Sans looks at him funny and hides in his room.. Oh nevermind! None of that. Papyrus loves engineering! He builds all this cool stuff and for whatever reason, he knows exactly how the core works. Occasionally he'll fix the artificial suns, or help Alphys with something, and he's very good at it. He just doesn't remember learning it.
