To tell the truth, it had been a bit of a surprise. If he’d had a handful of guesses as to who would be the first person visiting him here; it probably still wouldn’t have included Hayley. Not that he wasn’t actually quite happy to see her.
“Ah,” he said, pulling a face. “Yeah, can’t do that I’m afraid. I don’t know how all this lore stuff works just yet either.. And a hybrid in the house? What will the town think?” he gestured outside to the very obviously empty neighborhood he’d chosen, and then grinned at the woman in front of him. “Thanks,” he laughed, shaking his head as he stood aside for her to let her in. “Think I should bother doing the place up? No idea how long I’ll get to stay this time.” he joked, though his tone remained fairly dry.
Rolling his eyes fondly, he nodded down the hall towards the open space. “There’s a couch and a fridge full of beer that way, if it’s one of those talks?” he offered, shutting the door behind her. “The neighbors thing isn’t much of an issue just yet.. Perks of renovating this place, I guess.”
