My taste in old UK comedy comfort characters is simple really. If I can neatly align them on the ol' baby to bastard chart then I automatically love them.
I want to see a conversation between these two. I need to see a conversation between these two
Hi I’m op of the twitter post. I was referencing this tumblr post I saw ages ago. I didnt expect it to blow up.
hi I’m the guy that made that post. Yours is funnier
Peace and love on planet eart
[ID: Four screencaps from Taskmaster. Alex Horne holds up one bare wrist, where he would normally wear a watch, and says with a frown, "Right, I don't know how long you've got left." Phil Ellis, trying to carry a chair through a doorway, says, "Well, none of us do, don't we? But isn't that life's big question? Part of the fun of it, really." End ID.]
My prediction for episode 7. He'll be fine guys no worries.
Double Edit:
After some back and forth and looking around some more, turns out this probably counts as fair use after all and I don't have to worry about the CC license coming for my ass. So, with that in mind, once more:
Don’t use or repost my art without permission.
Welcome to Taskmaster!!! Would you like to play a game?
I mean this in the best way but when I first saw this clip I swear Tammie was possessed by the spirit of Jack Lemmon because her phrasing (and wig) was so like Daphne in Some Like It Hot its unreal

I'm not even in the Firefly fandom but the reaction on here vs Bluesky is crazy. Everyone here is ecstatic, but every post in Bluesky is like 'ugh this show was always bad and this announcement sucks actually'
I know the whole villain thing with Viper never really worked, but I have a bit of a soft spot for him (read: He has my favourite theme song, I generally like villainous gladiators, and also his actor seems like a decent guy). And the thing is, because nothing they've tried has really worked, they can do literally anything with him. Consider:
They reveal that there are actually three different Vipers: the stoic one who growls, the one who breaks things and the one who gives pantomime villain monologues. All of them still cheat. All of them blame one of the others for failure. They keep hinting at the reveal of a secret fourth Viper.
They suddenly give him a heel-face turn and he tries to be one of the friendly Gladiators. His compliments are really bad, and he keeps 'relapsing' with cheating and having to apologise. They give him a stress ball after he loses to stop him breaking things, cut away, and when they cut back its in tiny pieces and he's unnaturally calm.
Have him be inexplicably friendly with just one other person (one of the two secondary refs, a new gladiator, someone like that) and not explain it at all.
Literally anything. Do you see my vision?
Viper is like Animal from the Muppets, so I love these ideas
the weird TSA Ben Linus stills from Lost keep haunting my brain because WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE GUYS
The 'sir we're gonna have to do a cavity search' cringe porn vibes are so strong
Now I'm imagining Ben as like Grover from Sesame Street and just turns up in random jobs. Jack goes to pick up dry cleaning and Ben's behind the counter, then Kate goes to a restaurant and Ben's the waiter
maybe someday we’ll all be promoted to Professional Ghost Catchers
Oh how times change...
thinking about when i mentioned tom and jerry by title alone to my 65 year old father and his only response was to laugh REALLY hard and say "him and that fucking mouse.." while staring into the distance. and then the conversation was over
