Even though I haven't had a panic attack in a very long time, I was looking at a housing listing for the renovation of my nanny's old house since she now lives in a retirement home; for some reason, I had an intense visceral reaction to seeing the familiar shape, twisted and turned into a modern Landlord Special, with none of the trinkets and curios that I had spent hours on hours of my life memorising when I was very small.

I came upon a video the other day from 2011 of my sister and I doing some Nico Nico Douga bit in the living room of my nanny's house, it felt as if it was a place that still exists when I was watching the video, but when I was looking at the virtual tour of the renovated house, the space we were doing stupid and mundane jokes is now a minibar with a kitchenette.

I don't know why I felt so many emotions, but I felt a lot of things, and I didn't know how to handle it

I know I keep making posts like this, but I think this week has been the first time in my life that I've been able to take a shower with no fore or afterthought, instead of having to set aside a couple of hours to rest and recover afterwards.
