Is there a flag for people who are both Asexual and Aromatic?

Hey I have a friend who’s grey-ace and I’m supportive of them but I want to know if there’s a difference between ace and grey-ace. I want to understand better

Basically, grey-ace is an identity that is under the asexual umbrella, or on the asexual spectrum. Grey-ace (or greysexual) is a term that describes someone who feels sexual attraction rarely or weakly, while asexual describes someone who doesn’t feel sexual attraction at all.

Greysexual is a term that’s used to describe people who are somewhere on the spectrum between asexual and allosexual!

Yes!! I know I haven’t done one in a long time but I definitely want to start doing them again, so... send in those requests! Just send an orientation, and something else if you want it to be more specific.

(ex: bi flag + flowers, ace flag + sky, etc)

Does being a het-ace still mean you're part of the LGTBQ community even though you're straight? I'm a het ace and even though I would be honored to be part of it, I want to make sure that I don't offend anyone part of that community by including myself in it.

Some people disagree, and this is something that has caused a lot of arguments and discourse in the lgbtq+ community, but yes, het aces still belong in the community!! So you are completely welcome, anon <3

is it okay to, if you don't know where you fall on the ace spectrum yet, to just refer to yourself as "ace", period, when asked or talking about it? or, another way to phrase it, do you believe that demisexuals, greysexuals or anyone else on the ace spectrum, other than just asexual itself, can refer to themselves simply as "ace" too? i just have heard it different ways...hopefully that made sense, haha, sorry.

Yeah, for sure!! Asexual is an umbrella term, so if you’re anywhere on the ace spectrum, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with just identifying yourself as asexual.

Hi, so I'm sure but is it ok for me to identify as ace if I'm scared of sex??? But I (female) like this dude and want to be in a romantic relationship with him but only with fluff, so like cuddling and whatnot, and no sexual stuff.

If you don’t feel sexual attraction, then you’re asexual. Doesn’t matter if you feel romantic attraction and want to cuddle and things like that!

If you do feel sexual attraction, but you don’t want to have a sexual relationship, then you might be lithosexual instead.

Can someone be Ace/Grey/Ace-spec in general if they may have sexual feelings for a person, but they’re few and far between? And the rest of the time it’s just romantic/platonic feelings?

Yeah, that’s pretty much the definition of greysexual, actually! Feeling sexual attraction rarely or weakly.

And greysexual is on the asexual spectrum, so if you choose to identify as this, you can also identify as being ace or ace-spec.

I am confused. I identified as bisexual but even if i found romantic relationship a nice idea, i have never felt really attracted by someone. And i am pretty ok with not having sex yet even if my friends did or are frustrated to not have already and would want to. Could I be aro/ace or ... I though for some times it was linked to past trauma but i started to wonder about that stuff... Sorry for my broken english...

You could be ace/aro because of past trauma, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Even if you think a romantic or sexual relationship would be fine with you, that doesn’t mean that you’re not ace/aro.

Yeah, absolutely! Fantasizing about a relationship is not the same thing as actually feeling sexual attraction, so yeah, you can still be aroace!

Hullo! I somewhat recently, shall I say, became acquainted with the term "asexuality," and I found it tremendously relatable! Perhaps "demi" more so, but I'm not sure yet. More to the point, I discovered, upon further research, that a sign of ace in public is to wear a black ring on the middle finger of one's right hand, but I have neither seen nor heard of this before. Have you? I like the idea of it but I'm not sure if I should do it because I'm not sure of how widespread this icon is.

Yeah, not everyone does it, but I know lots of people do this! It’s a fun thing for sure :)
