Idk where this came from but Wesper parents where it’s a Kerch thing to braid treasures into your hair and so sometimes couples or very close friends will braid a lock of one another’s hair into their own. It’s an old tradition and now is a more rural thing so it’s less common in Ketterdam but thinking of little Aditi with Jespers eyes and dimples and a little lock of red hair braided into her hair.
Wylan has a tiny braid behind his ear with her hair matching. The other council members always wear their finest and most expensive treasures, men rarely in their hair but usually with gold or silver clips when they do, but Wylan carries his as a ring on his finger and a tiny little braid.
I know insecurities are largely irrational but the fact that Charley thinks Yuri settled for him when bro broke his fifty year long vow of silence just to talk to him is crazy. Like yeah bro, he hates you. That’s why he reenacted Ghost with you and made out with you crazy style while smiling the biggest he’s ever smiled in his life
Trinity calls Dennis "puppy" because thats her little attack dog. The first time they went to a bar together some asshole had decided to get handsy and Dennis was already pulling his arm back for a second swing before Trinity could even finish processing what had happened. Dennis was practically snarling and foaming at the mouth by the time she got him off the guy.
Robby calls Dennis "puppy" because well... he's a puppy. His puppy. He's always eager to please and he perks up when Robby calls for him (if he had a tail it would wag too). He goes pliant when Robby scruffs him, all boneless and sweet. He drools when he's on all fours and whines when he needs Robby's hand in his hair, either petting at it or tugging on it. He'll do absolutely anything to hear the words "good boy" from Robby's mouth. Textbook puppy behavior.

They get there and Shane is like "Ilya and I are, uh..." and Ilya is like "hmm we haven't talked about this but I know Shane is really uncomfortable right now, so I will shout out the one (1) english word I know that describes this situation. LOVERS."
Then they're talking about how long they've been together and Shane is like "since our rookie season" and Ilya is like "well, hold on now, you said you don't like lying to your parents, so let's be very clear about when this started. We have to be so clear about the fact that it started the summer before our rookie season. Wait, would it make you feel better if I give your parents the exact date and time of our first hookup?"
And then Yuna is like "you've been in love that long?" and Ilya is like "I need you to understand I've been drilling your son into mattresses from here to Florida for the last decade, but I can't say that because I want you to be my mother in law, so are you picking up what I'm putting down?" and Shane is like ILYA and Ilya is like "I am ANSWERING MY MOTHER IN LAW'S QUESTIONS"
And then he drinks his vodka and eats his pasta in his Boston shirt, very proud of himself for being sooooo supportive, meanwhile Shane is actively praying for a black hole to swallow him up
Spider’s a tough kid. He’ll never let anyone see it, what this scene did to him, but it’s with him regardless. He’ll even convince himself he’s fine, that it didn’t mean anything, and that in the end Jake chose to keep risking the wellbeing of the whole planet rather than kill him. Jake valued Spider’s life over all of Pandora. Spider believes it.
It warms and comforts him and makes him feel like a real Sully. But at night, when he’s trying to sleep, the thoughts circle his brain like a pack of viperwolves.
He can’t ignore that Jake would never have considered sacrificing one of his own kids.
He can’t ignore that while Neytiri came to rescue Jake, Spider had to escape captivity himself and hitch a ride with them. He knew they wouldn’t have broken him out of there, just like they didn’t the last time.
He’s alive purely by his own guts and self determination, and secondly by Jake’s own guilt. For it was guilt that stayed Jake’s hand upon that rock. It wasn’t love - not the kind that the rest of the Sullys shared.
He tried so hard to ignore the thoughts, pushing them away night after night, hating the feelings of utter despair they evoked, but worse… the anger. He could still feel Jake’s knife against his throat, could never forget the way he told Spider to kneel. To be quiet. To face forward.
Why?
Spider knew it was a desperate situation, that Jake did love him somehow. But it… it wasn’t enough. And the hurt only swelled as time went on. As he watched Jake interacting with Tuk, with Kiri, who wasn’t even his biological kid. And he knew. He knew he wasn’t enough and never would be.
Then in the dawn the morning light was enough to vanquish the thoughts for a few hours, to remind him that Kiri had chosen him, that Eywa had accepted him, that he finally had everything he’d wanted. And he was able to push away those thoughts to deal with once the sun set again.
No cause this and the fact that they didn’t try to grab him while they were already there??? Like I know it was going to shit but the plan was to save Jake and just leave him there until Spider saved himself, Jake, and forced himself into the rescue

When Spider gets his tattoo with the Metkayina, it's because of Rotxo
Rotxo's mother is one of the artists and he spends weeks trying to figure out how to get him a tattoo and let him partake in the iknimaya
Ultimately, it's Tsireya's help that gets it past Ronal and Tonowari (being a POW helps) and Rotxo spends the rest of his time trying to figure out how to safely get Spider his tattoo
He plans the armband himself; very nervously approaching Lo'ak and Jake on how the adoptive Sully can join their traditions
Neytiri fights it initially, but Ronal is the Tsahik and has the final say
He spends weeks with his mother as he plans out what design to use and figuring out how Na'vi and human flesh differ. His mother plans his tattoo and he plans Spider: slowly turning the gesture fully into his first attempt at courting
He uses the tattoo as a chance to show his willingness to learn, his attention, and just hopes it isn't too much. He even makes Kiri approve the design before he presents it to him: terrified of the answer even if it goes in his favor
His relaxed demeanor earned him a very laid-back reputation but anxiety courses through his veins more and more as he gets older. Part of him is terrified of the future: of what a yes means, even if it is good. Part of him is terrified of the no and what he'll do next.
Rotxo almost cancels the whole plan until he finds Spider the morning of, tending gently to an ilu - just as he would have always done had he been born amongst the clan.
Assured this is his place, Rotxo resolves to ask, deciding Spider has earned the privilege as a courting rite or not.
Spider, of course, accepts but Rotxo is too timid to tell him why he did it: resolving to continue the process slowly, ease them both into it as best he can
Then everything changes again
Spider is off with the Wind Traders, supposedly to join 'his' people, and it is all Rotxo can do not to beg Jake to think again
His siblings give him pitying looks and slaps on the back as they say goodbye. Rotxo desperately tries to come up with a plan and finally tucks a note into the packs they load on board. At least this way, when they land, he can keep contact with the little human
Rotxo finds out weeks later that the letter never got read. It was burned before Spider ever opened his bag.
Spider is taken again, different now, and then fighting returns to his peaceful home: Rotxo tries to fight, convinces himself that he can make it safe here again and maybe this time the humans will leave them to their peace
He goes after Lo'ak, fights for Palakun, and sharpens his spears even though kids his age were never meant for real bloodshed. He holds his resolve tight to his chest and does what his ancestors taught him.
He closes his eyes, lurches out of the water with his bond sending rushing adrenaline through him, and opens them again amongst the ancestors.
Haunting actually comes naturally to ghosts and the boys have to exert themselves to not do it, because they don’t want to frighten anybody and it might get in the way of cases.
Charles who causes cold spots; Charles who can make a whole room cold enough for the living to see their breath in the middle of summer, if he’s upset enough. Charles who occasionally leaves footprints of muddy water where he walks. Charles who leaves droplets of water running down mirrors after he uses them.
Edwin who has the smell of burning sulfur clinging to him; Edwin who always has the living checking around for a fire. Edwin, whose calculating gaze can make even non-sighted living shiver like they’re being watched. Edwin, who might seem calm, but the electricity surging and fuses blowing gives him away.
Ghosts boys that actually do some haunting.

Fantastic Four headcanon: Franklin has issues with household safety. Specifically, the fireplace. The fire isn’t scary, the bricks don’t scrape his palms: they just remind him of his uncles. More than once Johnny has to suck the heat from the room or reed stretches just in time to stop a tumble. It’s a regular concern that he doesn’t have any sense of “hm maybe that hurts and I should avoid it.”
Also the amount of healing that brings to Johnny and Ben when their physical states aren’t scary to their nephew. Johnny is leaning over the crib fully as the torch and Franklin is just giggling and reaching for the dancing lights, not worried at all that the flames will hurt him. The fighting outside doesn’t worry him, Ben’s chest is just cool and smooth against his cheek when he gets scooped up from uncle Johnny. The stones feel as soothing as his mothers blankets or skin, just another wall of safety he’s never had to worry about.

i’m sorry but i LOVE the headcanon that steve can bench press sodapop. it’s just so silly because you know soda’s giggling like a schoolgirl the whole time and steve’s being a cocky little shit about it because while steve may be six inches shorter than soda, he’s still able to haul him around like a rag doll if he wants to. soda absolutely melts over it too. he knows how to tile steve up so he’ll pick him up too because the minute he starts cracking short jokes or implying steve’s not strong enough to carry him, steve’s hauling his ass up and onto his shoulders juts to prove he can.
steve likes showing off and sodas his biggest cheerleader, even though steve has enough ego to pass around the gang at least three times.
