I will write yandere versions of characters if asked!

I will write NSFW/suggestive imagines, but I am asexual and I do struggle a bit with that kind of subject matter. Don’t be surprised if it takes a while…

That said, if you are a minor, please DO NOT request or read any of my NSFW writing. I recommend filtering (or blacklisting with Tumblr Savior) the NSFW tag.

I will absolutely NOT write about pregnancy in any context. I’ll write about raising a kid, but pregnancy/birth is a trigger for me. Please be considerate.

Please don’t ask me to write anything that isn’t on my Fandoms List.

I don’t claim to be an expert on these characters. I’m writing them based on my own headcanons and such. I’m sorry if you don’t think the character I’m writing would behave the way I’ve written them to.

Chat, I did not escape the TADC episode 9 spoilers 😭

You know, I'm curious now. When someone in TADC abstracts, is the big red X that appears over the portrait on their door something that happens automatically? Does Caine do it? Do the non-abstracted circus members do it? Speaking of their rooms, I'm guessing those are made in generally the same way as their avatars, but I noticed that Kaufmo's room still existed after abstracting. Do you think the interiors of the rooms are deleted or something once the inhabitants abstract? If that's the case, it must only happen when Caine becomes aware of the abstraction, because obviously it didn't happen right away with Kaufmo, and Caine has said before that he prefers not to leave things running without any purpose (understandably, as I'm sure it's a strain on his hardware). But then, keeping the doors around if they lead nowhere is a bit silly, too. Unless maybe it's something he does for sentimental reasons.

Anyway, I'm definitely overthinking things. I refuse to go look at the episode 9 leak, btw, I'm gonna be a good noodle and wait for the official release.

I personally really need there to be a term in the fandom lexicon that describes the thing some authors occasionally do where they don't have a solid, concrete backstory laid out when they publish their first work, but when they unexpectedly gain a fandom, they start pulling lore nuggets out of thin air and retroactively changing things, until they've gone through so many iterations of the story and rehashed all of the major plot moments so many times that their story is a tangled spaghetti mess and they may as well have never even bothered in the first place. And I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to go into a project with some ideas only half-finished, sometimes winging it can be really fun and engaging for the audience, but I've seen it happen enough times now where I feel like it needs a name if it doesn't already have one. If there's not a name yet, I guess it's up to me to think of one, but I can't really think of anything creative. The best I've got is "plot ouroboros."

I've been enjoying Tomodachi Life LTD but I made a nonbinary green alien person just for funsies and somehow the mii I made of myself is now married to them. I'm not complaining I just didn't expect it to happen. The island is already level 107.

Does anyone by any chance have like a reference or a guide that could help me come up with some convincing names of angels? I don't feel like just slapping "-iel" or "-ael" onto the end of some randomly selected handful of letters, because I highly doubt that would make anything with real meaning behind it. The idea of potentially having to learn both some Rabbinical and some modern Hebrew from absolute zero with no prior knowledge at all is intimidating to say the least. Not that it isn't a worthwhile pursuit, of course, but it's definitely a daunting prospect as a complete beginner. I'm also pretty sure it'd be total nonsense to mash "-iel" or "-ael" onto a modern Hebrew word.

In addition to the names like Gabriel, Michael, Zotiel, Selaphiel, and so on, I've also noticed the "-on" pattern in names like in Metatron, Sandalphon and Zephon. There's so much. :')

Explanations of stuff under the cut:

The only one who isn't an NPC is Mac. It's probably obvious, but Lucky is based on Sayori's plush cow in her bedroom, Hello Kitty, and a Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters figure, and Nibbles is based on Littlest Pet Shop cats (there was one specifically I referenced that had the same swooped bang, which I incorporated into Nibbles' design since Natsuki also has that). Less obviously, Desiree is based on some little glow-in-the-dark resin ghosts I got last year, and Ame is based loosely on the Kyoto area of LSD: Dream Emulator. I felt like Ame/Monika being a kitsune was fitting because of the legends about them shape-shifting into human ladies to marry people or repay kindness, and how that kind of is reflected in Monika's being a game character who desperately wants to be human and feels like the player saved her life by showing her the real world. I thought about naming her Tenkiame, but that felt too on the nose.

Lucky, Desiree, and Nibbles are all named after words that are in their respective poetry preference lists (lucky, desire, nibble), and Mac is just the first name I thought of when I was like "how could I make MC into a name?"

If I had any sort of idea of what I was doing, I would have made a 3D model of Ame that's low-poly like in LSD: Dream Emulator, but alas. I also think there's sort of an implication that the Digital Circus is low-poly like that from an outsider's perspective, but not when you've entered it. Although, I like to imagine Ame as being a less polished NPC compared to the others.

As I was trying to design Ame, I was first trying to make her like a techno kitsune with an IBM computer monitor for a head, and I was going to make her basically the equivalent of Caine, but I was really struggling with that stylistically. I think it could have worked, but I decided to just make her an NPC instead.

(And if you're curious about the slight grainy texture of the images, that's just web glaze/AI image disturbance. Basically, it makes my art harder to train AI image generators on.)

Additionally, do you think either Monika or Kinito would have the technical capabilities to overpower Caine and take over the circus? Monika probably has the advantage there, having been coded into existence much later than Caine and Kinito, but maybe that'd actually work against her for hardware reasons.

Do you think we'll find out in TADC episode 9 what happens to Jax when he holds his breath?

I get that Caine’s office is essentially a central database, like a memory bank of some sort. The floating orbs? It's a very clean, organized packets of data.

But also… let me be a little sentimental for a second, because projecting onto fictional characters is basically my bread and butter in how I engage with fandom.

The way those memories are presented doesn’t feel purely functional.

They’re… very curated.

Each orb isn’t just stored. It’s displayed in this beautiful glowing orb. And when you get close, you can hear them like the memory is still alive, still echoing. There’s something strangely intimate about that. It’s not just archival, it’s experiential.

And then there’s the wooden furnishing.

God, that detail kills me a little.

Because he doesn’t have to make it look like that. He doesn’t need aesthetics. He doesn’t need warmth. But he chooses to frame these memories like they’re something valuable, like bottles on a shelf, like something aged, like something worth revisiting.

Not as just data.

But something to be appreciated.

And that ties directly into his breakdown: how he talks about wanting the others to like him, wanting them to be happy, how he’s trying. It reframes everything in that room. Those memories aren’t just records of completed tasks, they’re proof. Evidence that he’s doing his job. That he’s worth something.

And then you notice the small things.

The little drawing of the bee, still sitting on his desk. The first one he made, the one he showed Zooble with that unmistakable pride. He kept it. Out in the open. Not optimized, not deleted, not replaced with something “better.”

He just… kept it.

That’s not efficiency.

That’s sentiment.

And it creates this strange contradiction at the core of him. We’re told from the beginning of episode 8 that Caine is the first prototype of artificial intelligence and that he was an imperfect model.

But the more we see of him, the more those “flaws” start to look familiar.

The need for validation.

The attachment to memories.

The pride in something small and personal.

It’s almost uncomfortable, how recognizable it all is.

It’s not that Caine feels human despite being imperfect.

It’s that his imperfections are exactly what makes him feel human in the first place.

Wait yeah, Caine did make himself the god of the candy kingdom in episode 2, didn't he? He's thought of himself as a deity for a while, then.

I am neither a Grease hater nor a Grease enjoyer, but I will say that I don't Get It™️. I'm sure it's been talked about ad nauseam since before I could even say my first word, but from what I remember of the last time I saw it, the whole movie is just kind of about hazing Sandy until she conforms to a "cool girl" persona, abandoning her true self in the process.

I think we're supposed to come away from the film thinking that she's grown or matured, or maybe that she's found her true self, but we don't get any evidence of her wanting to be the leather-clad smoker seductress she ends up as at any point before the end of the movie. Maybe her interest in Danny is supposed to be the evidence, but all that really tells us is that she likes rebellious guys, not necessarily that she wants to be rebellious herself.

Maybe it's a generational thing? Like I'm missing some unspoken bit of the movie that explains it? Why do either Danny or Sandy need to change who they are to be in love with each other? And why is it that Sandy needs to be the one who changes the most, and in ways that we know aren't comfortable or natural for her? We already know Danny loves her before she changes so dramatically, so does she change her image to get approval of their relationship from others?

I've seen people make similar criticisms about The Little Mermaid, and how Ariel seemingly abandons her whole life as a mermaid princess for some guy she barely knows, but she actually abandons life as a mermaid because she wants to be human and the hot guy is kind of just a bonus. So I'm wondering if, in the many years since I've seen Grease, am I forgetting something like that?

Like I'm definitely looking at this through a much more modern lens, considering it's a 70s movie adapted from a 70s play set in the 50s, and I was not alive during any of those decades, but I can't be the only person confused by this.

I've been trying out various other Minecraft horror mods since I was so enamored with The Obsessed. Here's what that's been like.

ArPhEx: I was missing out not having this installed alongside The Obsessed! I am not afraid of these bugs. These bugs are also very charming, even though a phantom spider ran at me out of nowhere. I found a termite mound and blew it up with TNT and killed the queen with fire and then I got a rideable termite but I was not ready for that commitment and just left it there in the ruins of the mound. So that was an adventure. Also sometimes I hear the giant bug that gets summoned by lightning or whatever but I'm just gonna ignore that. Not my problem.

The Knocker: I like what it does, but I feel like it doesn't do enough. I really love how in the beginning it has you questioning whether or not you were the one who left your door open, or whether it was that intruder who breaks in while you sleep. I don't love that it does a screamer at you sometimes. There is a cool thing it can do where it sort of silently rises up in your face, and I like that a lot! It didn't really do very much, though. The signs it left didn't do anything, and aside from occasionally lurking in my base to ambush and kill me (but I could see it from outside the window so I would just... not open the door), there wasn't much here for me to sink my teeth into. My gamer teeth. I'd also appreciate more subtle scares and less unearned jumpscare.

The Idol: I liked the spirit box thing a lot! I'd really love to see that expanded on, since it just responds to everything the same way. I also would love if the polaroid camera took screenshots when you used it. It'd be fun to look back at the photos after using it during a chase. The entity is creepy, and I appreciate that it doesn't start chasing immediately. The scares are solid. I definitely suggest adding it alongside some other mods or with some creepy resource packs or something, though, because it would really benefit from a little bit of atmosphere or slightly more of a challenge. I ended up keeping animals under my base and a farm on the roof, and that basically meant that I had no reason to leave and only had one real brush with the entity where I saw it beside my house as I was leaving and immediately went back inside.

Playmate: I didn't get to try out the hide and seek portion of this mod, because I'm always putting my Minecraft guy to bed ASAP to avoid phantoms and just never triggered the game. It did, however, set my house on fire a couple of times. Well, the first time it was some random villager's house, and the second time it just started a small fire on my cobblestone floor that naturally had nowhere to spread to. So Playmate was more like Annoying Roommate to me. 144 pairs of vampire teeth.

I've seen The Librarian play wonderland.jar and The Broken Script, so I'm pretty familiar with those despite not having played them myself. I feel like these mods benefit from implying their stories more than just outright telling them, to be honest. Having a book in the world exposition everything at you is not my preferred method of learning lore in games, especially in a game like Minecraft where there's hardly any reading until you beat the game. So, I like that The Broken Script leaves the most important bits of its lore as environmental storytelling with signs and structures, and whatever is happening on the ARG side of things. I'm not really as fond of the way wonderland.jar presents its story to the player, but it makes up for that by having some really cool and unsettling moments.

If anyone has any suggestions for Minecraft horror mods that can run reliably on a not very high-end laptop, I'm playing Java and using curseforge exclusively for this stuff. Open to suggestions.
