HONEY
I love my dog. If ever I cry, he collects up dirty socks and brings them to me. They’re his favourite thing in the world and they make him happy, so they’ll make me happy too. He’s a good boy.
it’s really fun!

Barack Obama just got real about the beauty pressures black women face every day
When Time magazine sat down with President Obama and ballerina Misty Copeland, the president didn’t shy away from talking about how our culture has affected black women and the beauty standards they currently face. He even brought up Beyoncé.

“Do cats influence your music?”
rip pleasant company tho
“It’s hard to disconnect from the worst among society - from police brutality or from the education crisis or the school-to-prison pipeline - when the people affected by it reflect what you look at when you see yourself in the mirror. So I feel like there is that aspect of [my art] - like, I can’t live under a rock. I want to communicate a certain level of value about the perspectives and the stories of African Americans, especially coming from me as an African American man in New Orleans. […] And then there’s also the aspect that I was raised and influenced by people that have always committed their life to service - who basically understood that their existence is at it’s best used when it’s helping other people. There are people who are better [than I am] at service when it comes to feeding the homeless or physically marching to oppose things they dislike, […] or any long list of things that people have developed to do good service for others. I think for me, it’s art. Even if I’m holed up in a space, I realized from ProjectBE that there’s still things that I can do to make a difference. […] You know, artists were always the arbiters of how things began to shift. Not only did they document what was happening but they spoke the truth in spaces where it wasn’t always called for. You could make a long list of artists who - at great risk to their own personal comfort - used their craft and used their abilities to speak up for those who didn’t have that platform.” — #nolabeings #neworleans #neworleansonthemap #studiobe (at Studio Be)

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH
yes.
I hate that I just get random impulses to apologize. What am I apologizing for? I have no fucking idea but I sure as hell am sorry.
