“Perhaps to kill it next time,” she suggested, though kicking it had seemed effective enough. To make it leave him alone, at any rate. It was still alive, escaped. Perhaps to warn more of its kind, if it was capable of such a thing.
“And what have you found out? Anything interesting aside from a not-snake and myself?”
“Immensely bad energy eminating from this place. Something dark and supernatural happened here. Probably a crossing of interdimensional boundaries. Either a summoning or the opening of a gate.”
Neither of those possibilities sounded particularly good, Walter had to admit.
