zgoldstein:
he craned his neck a little more, glancing at asher’s plays. god. football had been one of the last things on zach’s mind since… well, since the beginning of the school year. as far as extracurriculars went, he had pretty much just been going through the motions since getting booted from the windsors. it had affected him a lot more than he cared to admit. “you falsely claimed i have no self-control and i demand receipts—this conversation notwithstanding.” he had to add that on; zach knew he sounded mildly crazy. he just had an undying need to be in control of everything around him, including people’s opinions of him. no big deal.
a snort escaped asher’s lips as zach kept on denying and claiming he had self-control. they both knew it was a lie but for a moment, asher was just going to pretend to go along with it while mocking him at the same time. “is that so? my apologies, goldstein. you know i think i still have some bites somewhere from the last time we slept together. oh and let’s not forget when you gave me the biggest hickey on earth when i specifically told you to keep it together and not come near my neck. what were you saying about self-control now? right, you have none.”
