i just had a realization about n25's (original) worldlink cards. so all the cards have them underwater, which can symbolize how they all struggle with mental health. but...

ena knows exactly how to get past the water. she's on her feet and walking toward the light with determination.

mafuyu is being pulled toward the surface and the light, but it pains her to leave the dark water behind.

mizuki is so close to the surface. she could swim up to it, and her expression suggests she wants to, but she's resigned to staying in place.

and kanade is smiling. she isn't even thinking about leaving the water, even though it's darker here than in any other card.

if you think back to how each of the girls were just after 3rd anniversary, these cards basically say it all.

BITCH i just discovered mizuki's alt of inochi bakkari (which apparently they released with mizu5??? insane behavior.) here are just some of the lyrics that should be considered psychological warfare when mizuki sings them:

"the time i spend with you, grinding days to nothing, is such an easy thing, it became weird to the point that it's unforgivable"

even besides these lines that are specifically mizuki-coded, the entire song sounds like her singing her real feelings especially in the context of mizu5
