the problem with the pivot to the story being all about lestat is that regardless of the fact that was always the publicised intention, it doesn't change that they created two seasons which centred around characters of colour and developed a narrative and relationships which watchers became invested in the outcomes of. So when you cheapen those relationships and sideline the characters of colour and stop engaging with race as a factor in the narrative and use the previously interesting device of unreliable narration to absolve your favourite white boy, people are going to be mad about it and think that it sucks. i don't think this is by any means a startling opinion for many to have developed

tvl episode seven is actually the most frustrating of all because of all the ways that it is actually good and because of it's much better attempt at telling a well constructed narrative, all of which is ruined by a few frustrating but unignorable moments and the fact that the season leading up to it does not do much to support it as there is no depth to any of the ideas previously explored within it

Language things I'd like to see in the Grishaverse:

Kaz's Southern Kerch accent coming out thick whenever he's drunk, or on very specific words that he avoids saying for that very reason

Ravkans being able to tell when foreigners learned from a textbook or a standard classroom because they talk vaguely like middle-aged nobles

East Ravkans and West Ravkans having different accents, expressions, and slang because of being separated by the Fold for so long

Specific dialects on the disputed borders (the Ravkan-Fjerdan border, the Ravkan-Shu border, etc.)

Nikolai having to change how he speaks as Sturmhond so that his very posh noble accent doesn't give him away
