Meet Pearl

9 Lives Cat Rescue

Meet 'Pearl'.

You may remember her from a few months ago needing a home. Well she got one but sadly the residents cats in her new home didnt want take to her well and we had to put her in foster care. The resident cat there was kind to her but her prevoius experience with the other cats meant that she no longer trusts ...them. Pearl is in Temporary Care but we really need a home for her ASAP!

About Pearl:

- Pure Bred British Shorthair Tabby - 5 years old - Sterilised - Vaccinated F5 - Microchipped - Has a sensitive stomach and so needs to be strictly on Royal Canin Hypo-allergenic food. - This breed do lose alot of fur so she needs to be brushed daily so needs to be in a home with people who know they have no allergies to cats - Pearl is best suited to a single animal home - She is also best with children 8 years and above who understand that she doesnt like to be picked up

Waiting On there Pet Passport

Snowey and Ginger are the most handsome, sweet and loving cats. They are in a predicament and need a foster home for 6 months. The father of their household was transferred to Malaysia with work, and the boys were all set to be flown there. For a couple of genuine reasons, the mother and children of their family have now moved on to her homeland of the UK instead.   Getting to the UK is a whole different ball game for Snowey and Ginger. They have been boarding in a facility that I run, for 3 months already whilst things have been sorted out. Their family desperately want them to come to the UK too, but have to wait another 6 months to acquire their Pet Passports. It wouldn’t be fair to keep Snowey and Ginger penned for all that time, so they are seeking a safe, loving home to stay in until they can all be reunited. Their family will of course cover costs for food, vets etc.   They really are gorgeous cats. Ginger is a little on the shyer side to begin with, but has a very close bond with his brother, and will follow his lead. Just look into their beautiful eyes, you cant help but fall in love with these boys.   If you can help, please contact their “Mum”, Sandi at [email protected] and she will put you onto me when the right home is chosen.

Fostering Kittens

Hello Desperately need foster carers for a handful of kittens about 8-10 weeks old who need to be tamed and are flighty, rescued from OneSteel Recycling in Kewdale. With lots of TLC they will come around. Would you be able to pass on to anyone you think would be able to handle some kittens that aren’t the friendliest. Once they have been tamed down we can start advertising for forever homes. It is definitely possible just too many for one person to tame at once. Pet Doctor

We have several requests if anyone can help: The good news is that we have a non-euthanasia policy at pet doctor (humane euthanasias only). The sad news is that we have had so many cats and kittens dumped on us that we have run out of cage space. (with 6 kittens on our doorstep this morning, we currently have 36 homeless kittens and cats and one of them has just had kittens.)

Can you help? – do you know of anyone in the media who might be able to do a story for us about our little waifs and strays?

Weiro Bed - BAD LUCK

Just wanted to send out a warning,

I went out to bring my weiro's inside for some loving and found my female was stuck to her bed

these are the fabric triangle shaped ones that feel wooly. They are amazing and will not tell people not to buy them, I just wanted to tell people to be careful. As she had the string wrapped around her foot cutting off circulation.

So just be careful with them.

So much is going on at the moment it is crazy!!!!

So my week events this week include....Animal Protection Society on Tuesday...they have a fantastic new website up and running please cheak it out.

Also they have a quiz night in april on the 16th if anyone is interested, unfortunatly i can't go because I have relay for life the same weekend.

Wednesday night with free beer and pizza I had my MERG meeting (Murdoch Environmental Restoration Group) and have now become in control of the media in the group, so will be doing photography of the tree planting, bird counting and just over all the amazing people within. Also in creation of a facebook group once it gets up and running.

Today had MUEnSA (Murdoch University Environmental Science Association)  mentoring meeting and free lunch (got to love volunteering :) ). Mentoring was fun helping get the first years head around the study load and the life style of uni. And free lunch was great, Getting members to sign up and also selling tickets for the Camp Envir'o' camp during the first weekend of March :D:D.

This weekend is just going to be as busy with my one of my Dogs photoshoots, Tequila-Reign, is happening on saturday with Houndstooth as well as kennel work and birthday dinners.

So yes it has been busy and hence why I havn't put many adoptions up yet, but soon they will come.
