Simplistic Notepad

Most of time when we are coding, we seldom like to switch from the eclipse perspective to use other apps. Of course having said that we always use textpad, notepad++ for making notes. Although these editors are feature rich, I still use them as a clipboard and not beyond that. So I was looking at some of the earlier notepads, todo eclipse plugins etc.. when I stumbled upon a very simple and minimalist plugin which to be very honest is very easy to use and simplifies a lot of things. Pinterest

  I stumbled upon Pinterest by accident , to be quite honest it never quite struck me as a site that I would get addicted to. At first glance it’s interface , look and feel reminded me of minus but hey it’s way more fun than that. Once I started Creating boards and following other boards it was quite interesting and I think it’s the kind of tool that can be anything you want it to be, well at least from the sharing perspective. I use it as bookmark manager, a personal hobby tracker, trend tracker, a sharing media and a board. This is truly an app that’s cool and simple. Give it a try , you’ll like it.

Lessons learnt - Comparative Analysis

Learning by comparing more than one offering is probably a nice way to look at what we really need in a product. Don’t be swayed by the beautiful branding, aggressive marketing and false promises. Evaluate with a clear and open mind. Now whilst learning never prejudge based on what others have said :-)

Setting Up my notebook - Maven

 Resetting my desktop, eclipse is working now setting up Maven, will keep this settings.xml here so that I remember. m2 is great on eclipse but I’m starting to enjoy Intellij. Lets see how this goes..
