Like imagine some random inmate isn’t the one to open the door, but it’s Eddie. “Darling, I’ve missed you! Come, let’s get out of this retched place. I’ll try to follow as best as I can.” First vent Waylon makes it to he apologizes that can’t follow you through so he has to find another way around, just a way to be able to split the two up to introduce the call mechanic if it was in game
Waylon would just have to shout Eddie’s name and you’d hear the distant thumping of him running Mach 50 to get to you and if there’s a Variant on your ass he’ll drop kick them in the next dimension. If he’s with you when you get to Frank he’ll comment on how “cute” it is that him and the corpse are in love. He also does a complete 180 and proceeds to hate him with every fibre of his being once Frank says that Waylon is his. The last time you see Frank him and Eddie get into and it ends with you both escaping, but Frank manages to injure Eddie somehow which slows him down when he tries to follow/get to Waylon
The injury from Frank would give the option to find something to heal Eddie, whether or not you help him decides if he makes out of the asylum with Waylon. When Eddie and Waylon go through the courtyard Eddie will sneer at the twins when they comment on Waylon looking scared. When they claim they want to kill Eddie would respond “Over my dead body, you whores.” And one would respond, “That can be arranged.” The other “You’ve already been injured.”
In between that and the first Jeremy and Chris encounter Waylon can find the supplies to help Eddie, and he’ll respond with a “Thank you, darling. That was becoming rather annoying.” Ending off with a chuckle
For whatever reason he wouldn’t be able to follow Waylon to the first encounter of Jeremy and Chris, so he’d still have to leg it on his own. When you jump out of the window and onto the shed roof Eddie will have found his way around back to Waylon and catches him before he hits the ground after hopping of the roof. Regardless of whether or not you have Eddie following Waylon at that moment he’ll show up and easily kill the variant that jumps Waylon, regardless of if he’s been healed or not
When they make it to the top of the tower he’ll comment, “Darling, I don’t think you can make it if you try to jump across.” But of course Waylon will have to try to jump it anyway and he will still end up falling. Only this time he’d be able to hear the horrific yell of Eddie as he does. “Oh god, darling! Please be okay! I’ll find way down to you!”
Half of the Dennis encounter will also leave Waylon on his own, if he takes too long to get out on his own Eddie will show up to scare Dennis off. If Waylon manages to makes it to the door that leads to the stairs for the basement Eddie will show up and it will still result in Dennis getting scared off. Eddie would pick Waylon up in a hug and say “oh god, I thought I had lost you! Please be more careful!” As he sets Waylon back down he’ll be seen checking him over for any bad injuries he may have gotten from the fall before telling you to take the lead again.
He will comment on the many sewing machines as they both trek the basement, telling Waylon he’ll make him whatever clothes he wishes once they’re out and back home. Since Eddie is who would be showing up here as an antagonist, Chris would be the one to show up the basement before being replaced by Frank later. Eddie would slow him down at any point he’s called for, and quickly tell him the ladder for the elevator is too unstable to jump for and he’d help him down to the elevator below before getting bulldozed by Chris out of sight. A frantic “Run!” Would follow Waylon as he eventually ends up hiding and getting knocked out in the locker by it getting knocked over during the scuffle. Before he fades out of consciousness he sees the vague shape of Eddie running off with Chris close on his heels
The first time Waylon fades in it’s a few hours later, Eddie is able to find him in the locker again and pulls him out, resting him in his lap and clinging tightly to him. “I finally found you. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you safe from that brute.” Before blacking back out for another couple hours, Eddie has moved them so he’s leaned against the nearby wall and still encasing Waylon in his arms protectively. “Ah, you’re awake, darling! Are you sure you’re okay to keep going? I can carry you if you wish.” But he gets up walks anyway, when they get to the open window he’ll gently help Waylon down again, following him out and giving him a second to explore the courtyard and collect/read Eddie’s profile to which he’ll comment on it. “I’m… sorry you had to read that. I’ll never… Nobody will ever…” before going silent and shaking his head, Waylon will reach out tentatively grab his forearm, Eddie will respond by placing his hand on his and giving a sad smile
They’ll continue into the building, Frank will show up when they find the key for the door, it will be the last tussle between him and Eddie. Depending on if he’d been healed from their encounter Eddie will make it out unscathed and will kill him with his own bone saw. If he wasn’t healed, they’ll both die, Eddie’s injuries catching up to him so he’s unable to properly maneuver past the swing of the saw, but before Frank can do anything Eddie uses the last of his strength to take him down. He would reach out to Waylon who will quickly grab his hand before Eddie responds one last time, “Get out of here, darling… please be safe and… I’m sorry…” before going limp
But of course that wouldn’t happen, so he takes Frank down and make their way quickly and quietly passed all the armed guards. Jeremy will still be at the door, but with slightly altered dialogue if Eddie is still with you. “Park, you’re still alive… and you managed to tame one of the freaks. Maybe you two can help me, and I’ll help you.” And he will still stupidly attack Waylon only to be kicked in the ribs by Eddie after he stabs him. “You filthy whore! How dare you!” Before he continue the Jeremy beat down the Walrider shows up and grabs him, to which Eddie will use his body to cover Waylon and shield him from the on coming flesh debris that was Jeremy Blaire. Eddie will then refuse to let Waylon walk for himself and will carry him out the door to Miles’ Jeep outside and put him in the drivers seat, he’ll climb into the passenger seat
